If the VO3X are constantly being extended but not the B10Ms, is this a sign that the VO3Xs will be converted to WAB?

You almost made me flip off the table... Who in the world would convert a non-WAB step entry bus to a WAB bus? It would be too costly, because so many electrical components need to be rearranged for such a thing... I would say that it's just because the new B9TL kits need time for assembly and registration, which would take a long time into the future (2015-2016).
Currently, it makes sense to extend the VO3Xs because there are not enough newly registered B9TLs to replace them now. The last 34 Striders (SBS2655Z -SBS2688D) were scrapped when they had done their 17 years on the road with no extension, because there were enough Citaros registered then to replace them.
Oh yes, this case for the VO3Xs getting extended reminds me of the Volvo B10M MK IIs. Those old buses had done 17 years on the roads (since 1988/1989) and were supposed to be retired in 2006, but they got extended and survived till 2008 because there were not enough Scania KUBs to replace them completely... See what I mean? Okay, that's all I shall say to you. The end.
User SBS 3004X thank you for showing your "smartness" day by day

For the case of Volvo B10M MK2s, the first five in the 1988 batches (SBS1696L-SBS1700H) are de-registered in 2005 but with 2 years lifespan extension to their 15 years lifespan (prior to June 2003, lifespan of buses were 15 years without extension)...Leyland Olympian 2-Axle also have lifespan extensions as well.
Most of the awaiting de-reg / unofficially laid-up Mk4 Striders have been cleared from BNDEP's unofficial lay-up area as of Sat (04Oct). Same for the Wright B9TL with roof damage.
Only left 1 Strider there with both rear tail-lights covers missing.

I suppose they had been sent to the scrapyard...look out for their official deregistration in late October!
this morning passby HGDEP saw 2 STRIDER parking at the lay up corner 1 still having WORK SAFE ad might be 1909Z

Ic ! then maybe lor but 1907D still seen on svc or not ?
Seems that HGDEP had already laid up those MK4DM that are going off this coming 12 Oct (SBS918D to SBS930S batch) starting this week.
SBS925H was seen on 163 last Fri though. Most probably it was the last time running on the roads.
SBS6802P replace SBS926E (115) whereas SBS2753Z replace SBS921T (113) according to some bus fans.
Not sure if anyone has realised, but I realised that when they took out some of the ex-FFw perm Mk4s (read: 2597H, 2627E, 2777E, even 1948K, 2616L & 2619D), they kind of 'locked' back the speed limit on these buses?
The Mk4s perm on FFw svcs tended to have a slightly higher top speed than what the speed limit label says uh. Typically abt 10-20kmh more. (going by my GPS readings). Idk if this was intentional by BNDEP, but to me it seems so.
But after they took them out from 14e/30e/196e and redeployed them, their top speed no longer feels..the same? For the buses I mentioned, their acceleration still like before (able to slipgear and accelerate well still usually), but after 40-50kmh, can really feel the difference by listening to the revs and loudness of the engines. They just feel more..anaemic? Like gasping for air and can't breathe well kind of feeling.
I wonder if the 'locking-back' of speed limit was on purpose? To perhaps prolong the lifespan of the engines? I mean, considering they scraped the others like 1966H 1982K 983P etc before their max lifespan, it seems possible?
SBS914P spotted on tow yesterday with 38 front desto intact.
SBS930S gone case liao. At BNDEP corner with white paper at the windscreen.

Chances of lifespan extension?

SBS2618G/SBS2651J/SBS2749L cases are just having ad removal.
An unknown DM3500 in BBDEP receiving new Moove Media's Monster Strip advertisement.
1907D still spotted running on perm svc
1896B still going on strong today on perm Sv 359, 2 weeks before final deregistration. Way to go.
1985C 1993D 1995Z 2595M still spotted running well on respective perm these few days too. So I supposed they escaped the fate of being scrapped early (considering the prev batch they stopped at 1984E and 1984E disappeared already).
Just to add on, 1991J (BN 45) today spotted freshly repainted.
919B & 923M parked in BNDEP's laid-up area / workshop holding area beside 2888T & 9631X (my nick, lol).
SBS985J SBS1966H SBS1968C SBS1974J

Explains why 1966H 1974J disappeared from BNDEP's parking area.
