especially 2703T MIA for so long then finally back on svc and now put dead again dat funny .
I guess SBS2703T was able to earn back its repair cost and profit, perhaps that is why SBS Transit chose to repair it and let it run again just before it retires.

By the way, where is the exact spot of the BNDEP lay up corner? Is it facing Simei Ave near the bus stop opposite Changi General Hospital/beside Block 3016?
Yes. That's the spot. But it only appears for like 2 secs if you're on the bus. And walking along the pavement to get a better view wouldn't help too.
But like I said before, depends on luck. That space is also used by the workshop to hold the buses awaiting their scheduled maintenance checkups or awaiting repairs.
1974J hasn't appeared on Sv 358 for the past week, and unlike Sv 81's case, there hasn't been any consistent replacements.
And interestingly, different from Sv 66 & 81, the replacements have been mainly random Citaros, not Mk4s.
Suspect 1979X gone case also. The reason why 956T is on 38 lately is very obvious
Still no fixed replacements for 1974J yet as of today. It's kinda weird seeing 2-3 Citaro cameos on Sv 358 every weekday so far out of only 6 buses.

I walked from the Simei Ave bus stop on Wednesday and saw many Striders parked there...although I can't see most of the regos, but SBS1959D is parked there on that day. Is it still on service?
1984E gone from BNDEP corner
For HGDEP side, any MK4s other than SBS920X spotted at the lay up corner recently?

Only training buses such as SBS2888T and SBS2819T parked there.
this morning saw 1 strider with rear CCTV cam cover and left brakelight cover gone parking near by the lay up corner should be 1973L .
also saw a few DM& strider parking over there not sure they r going for lay up or not .

1959D today parked in Bedok Int at lunch time. I suppose that means it's still on revenue service.
1964M 1969A 1974J all parked in BNDEP today.
And still no fixed replacements for Sv 358 yet for 1974J~

More or less I can confirm that SBS Transit is going to use old tactics again...by scrapping buses months earlier than de-registration date then apply for early official de-registration.
It is already confirmed by someone that every single bus from January batches of MK4s (both DMs and Striders) are unofficially laid up/awaiting deregistration...Think at this rate, SBS Transit is going to get rid of all the MK4s by December 2014 to February 2015...

You should notice as well that they belong to the same batch as the two problematic MkIVs in AMDEP...

So are you trying to imply that SBST just found out there's a major manufacturing defect in those 2 batches of Mk4s some 18 years later? It seems so to me now, because there's quite a number of them in that bunch that went MIA which are still in reasonable condition compared to some of the later ones~

I think that it seemed more like a coincidence that they decided to retire the Mk4s that are in the same batch as the 2 defect ones.
That is also the time 92 will become WAB but how???????? Must remove much of the DMs, Striders

Depot:
Buses:
SBS2791M SBS2797Y SBS2801T
3 Volvo B10M Mark IV (3 DM3500)
SBS8107A
1 Scania K230UB (1 Batch 1 Euro IV)
SBS6419M SBS6776G SBS6777D SBS6778B SBS6803L
5 Mercedes-Benz O530 Citaro (4 Batch 2 / 1 BSEP Batch 2)
Notes:
Guess B10Ms will be gone by end next year. DM3500 scrap 2 year earlier?
Actaully there is no need for speculation of the fleet of bus services when the Volvos are taken out from them... We can just wait for SBS Transit to do their moves, then we will know what are the replacement buses.
Why is AMDEP hoarding spare KUBs?
