What I feel SBST should do is have 1 or 2 standby buses then deploy for east loop when freq cui until 10-18mins like last year, before the P came, where a white man (then green man) will be at the east loop berth monitoring pax queue if spill out of queue line walkietalkie to office deploy bus for east loop.
Somehow the 291P driver will not allow full pax boarding from tamp int so the next stop pax can board.
I personally witnessed a couple of instances where the freq becomes 19mins at east loop then 291P comes at the right time..

I have ever seen people wait in queue for next 291 DD/KUB rather than boarding the PPSS bus. Ground staff has to force ppl to board. Hence, LTA has now been forced to add buses as PPSS has not made any change to the queues at Tampines interchange.
LTA should have SOP for those PPSS, use at least 45 sitter and have a proper display of the service number like the old sbst display, not just a paper on display at the bus wind screen. I think the key problem is the bus rojak and some look like a very run down bus use by the operator.

Actual AM/PM peak frequency is 03 minutes, but with these two buses added frequency will be 02 minutes during peak hours. As I mentioned before adding PPSS buses did not really help relieve the queue. When bus comes 30 pax board and bus gone (that too with some force).
When KUB comes, bus takes 70 pax and DD takes 100 pax... queue immediately gets relieved for the next load that comes by the subsequent train arriving at Tampines. Also, many times buses get blocked at Tampines itself coz other services are hogging the queue. This also inevitably leads to bunching.
How about dedicated boarding for 291/293 at the end of interchange where sv 23/81 are... this way bus comes, people board and bus leaves.. Delays due to waiting for bus in front to move wont be there. Just a thought!! (Con: a little more walking for ppl to do)

Idea le, can kick 81/8 out of end-off berth use their old berth, then 4/20 also got proper berth. Also, there will probably be an MRT entrance at that end of the Int. 23 should remains at the end-off, though
Capacity downgrade on sv 246
1 VO3x slot downgraded to KUB.
* sv 246 no more full fleet DD.
3401 and 3402 deployed on sv 291. Major major fleet upgrade. I had a slight doubt till now that one could be Citaro and other WEG... but both are WEG upgrades.
Can anyone confirm if sv 293 got another BSEP fleet add this month?
The only BSEP DD I see is 3423U.

3407S is the BSEP fleet add on sv 293, bringing the fleet to 15 buses, 33.3% DDs now.
sv 359 also gets 2 BSEP Citaros with 6522Y and 6523U
The 291 Bsep DDs all on split shift..
sv 201 needs to get one more bus. The frequency is not that good. You have a bus every 13-15 mins... and that is if it does not get delayed.
Observed at Clementi MRT (towards AYE) around 25-30 pax board bus. It was Citaro and had good number of standees. Waited to observe next bus but until 15 mins, next bus had not come. I had to leave. When I climbed the overhead bridge, saw 201 DD approaching Clementi MRT stop.
201 only freq problem for now not fleet,Most of the time the Citaros can manage well..its a public bus designed to carry standees also not just seated..Unless youre paying a premium fare
And dont forget its a new svc,need months of observation before decide to increase or decrease fleet/improve frequencies

yeah... no fleet issue... no standee issue... issue is only frequency.

svc 96 i think got 4 dds. this week i notice more dds than usual when i go to clementi.

LTA already say in December that 80% of 972 fleet are DDs... and with so many BSEP E500 sitting around, might as well deploy full fleet DDs on sv972 right now...

Yes you mentioned this previously also... But last week there were 8 DDs on 972 and 6 SDs... That is only 60% of the fleet..
even I am expecting Sv 972 should be getting more DDs with so many spare at kjdep.. WLBP still can understand reserved for yishun services, but what are the kjdep DDs waiting for.
hopefully next month 3-4 DDs will get deployed to Sv 67 and few others to Sv 972 (if not done already).
Yesterday there was at least 9 DDs for 972,293 still 14 buses with only 4 DDs,1 MKIV or SD slot reduce.
As for e spare DDs i hope that at least 5 will go into 190 and replace those SDs.
67 can start with 4
187 should have 3 DDs replace 3 SDs
851 should start with 4
854 should start with 5
857 need at least 3
960 with 4
969 can give 3 DDs to replace 3 SDs
Svc972 hardly see Man lion buses nowadays. Think still got 2 to 3 lion buses
Today sv 972, I think got at least 10 E500s deployed. Even MAN slots had DD coming on Orchard.
Anyone else here spotted an extra CDGE on 518 today?
