for sv 159 i think this is a svc still with most of the old SD buses among all the SVCs from HGDEP so far cannot get DDs also nevermind but somemore cannot get WAB new perm buses also taken out and replaced back with more old buses(downgrade) in return so unlucky .
this svc also dun get any BSEP buses after 6304K
so far 6125 & 6304 only left still on this svc .
haha and 159's kub went to 113 when 113 already 90% full fleet kub.
Ok lah many people like 159's deployment because many seats ma.

159 has lost its loading... I think by giving poor buses, no high capacity buses, LTA/SBST have been successful to move pax to sv 50, 88 and 109 from sv 159. Now days, sv 159 gets 50-55 pax during peak. Earlier ppl were not able to board and needed DDs.
Now dk which bus from 27 crossover to 113 during pm peak
Originally posted by BusAnalayzer:Many long distance travelers on sv 45. Hence, I like the decision to put more DDs for this service. Also lot of ITE students take sv 45 to Serangoon and Jalan Eunos areas. Observed people who board along AMK Ave 10 only start alighting from Serangoon onwards in PM and in AM, most ppl alight along Eunos Link.
I use 45 frequently and most of the demand are students from Lorong ah soo to AMK where we nyp students and ite students depend on this bus svc. Also 45 only bus svc to kaki bukit. 45's more of a school bus service i would say
Originally posted by carbikebus:23ispolo,I didnt say svc 10 need minibuses…Only svc like 42 suits them..But again i dont think its viable for PTOs to buy with the exceptional of SMRT Bus Plus
When did I mention about minibuses on 10? Please tell me if I did...
Anyway, took SBS7671T on 10 (duty 35P) on Monday (18 August), bus arrived 5 mins early at HarbourFront Stn (Kent Ridge Ter direction, 7.29p.m. instead of 7.34p.m.), so bus was 10 mins after the front bus (SBS7345K on duty 15S, 7.19p.m, finally on time!) instead of 15-16 mins... Bus had around 30 - 45 pax onboard until my stop (arrived 5 mins early at 7.48p.m.), but the loadings were mainly affected by MRT stations (for example, many pax alighted at Pasir Panjang Stn and many pax boarded at Opp Haw Par Villa Stn). I think 10 has different loadings at times, so it depends on when you observe... (Observations by me around 7.15p.m. to 7.50p.m.)
I think 10 can still stay, just that frequency beef-ups are needed... The 2 BSEP Citaros are not really much help for the frequency (SBS6351Z is A/P, while SBS6429J is split) Also, the weekend loading is not as high, so I am not surprised at the number of DD to SD downgrades...

Honestly, for the current loading... frequency is good enough... no need to add any more buses to sv 10. Also between Harbourfront and Kent Ridge you have sv 188, 143, 30 all with good frequency.

Another thing to note: 10's loadings are usually higher from Tampines to Tanjong Katong Road/Mountbatten Road. Not trying to say 10 needs frequency beef-up...

Please mention time frame. Yes 10 does have very high AM loading towards Shenton way as well... and PM from Shenton Way to East Coast..
3414X should be the BSEP add on sv 50 from AMDEP side.
sv 14 got capacity upgrade
24 DDs, 5 SDs --> 25 DDs, 4 SDs
* This was a surprise upgrade to me from SBST side, maybe it is because sv did not get BSEP, so SBST decided to upgrade on its own.
sv 55 gets capacity upgrade
10 DDs, 7 SDs --> 11 DDs, 6 SDs

Afternoon, 12 noon to around 1p.m... (Tampines direction)
Reason for 2 BSEP add on sv 72
I have been told that the 2 BSEP add on sv 72 is because of opening of Tampines Green Leaf HDB complex along Tampines ave 6. Since during AM the frequency is focused around getting pax from YCK to AMK Ave 5 and from YCK Road/HG Ave 9 to HG MRT.. this enhanced frequency will bring higher frequency at Tampines ave 6 for people to go to Tampines MRT or Tampines Ave 10 to change to other services. In addition, HDB Central 8 complex is also slated to open along ave 5 that will boost patronage of sv 72.
PM loading at Tampines MRT is also expected to increase from September. Hope this clarifies the hightened capacity on sv 72.
In future, there could also be downroute in AM from ave 6 if the need is felt.

55 actually no need SD to DD..The fleets is doing ok.Probably too much DDs to play around.
50 actually can extend to Hougang via Punggol
Hi mr carbikebus, how to extend 50 to hougang via Punggol? Why is there a need to do so? Purposely skip hougang to avoid duplication why need to connect back? Cheers!

I think 55 has kept getting upgrades because of the heavily patronized sector of Eunos to AMK. sv 25 stopped getting upgrades sometime back, and SBST has now focused on upgrading sv 55 instead. If you see most except one are all upgrades from SBST side.
sv 55 had a fleet of only 5 DDs two years back. Now this number is up to 11.

I have the same question. how can it be extended to Hougang via Punggol? It will have to miss Punggol Dr then? And it is heavily used by residents here as the only bus service.

Hi mr busanalyser, I think mr carbikebus makes a typo error perhaps. Punggol is already connected to hougang by mrt plus 62, 82, 119, 136. No need another new bus connection to hougang anymore. Roads like Punggol drive which have only 1 bus service currently will never have its service removed. Cheers.
punggol desperately need a bus svc that can travel to the city areas such as orchard.. If you notice all the bus services in Punggol end at a town which is quite near. Etc AMK The furthest interchange is at bishan

Yes... no more services from Punggol only until Hougang... instead introduce services now that will express Sengkang/Hougang and cover other city areas.
The furthest I believe is sv 62 to Geylang but it is quite a winding route.
107 extension to Punggol will be an apt move merging with sv 82.

62 was once a Hougang South/Upp S'goon (need to confirm which int/ter) - NBR route before NEL ruined it. Maybe can extend it back to NBR via the same route.
Actually 62 can extend to Toa Payoh Int dont u think?

Actually 62 can terminate at Lor 1. Already have 26/31 from Lor 1 to TPY. Have 2/12 from Lor 1 to NBR.
