Sv 196 did get BSEP DDs but SBST has downgraded 2 DD slots to SD. Earlier this year Sv 196 fleet had 8 SDs, now has 11 SDs.
Sv 54 capacity one SD slot converted to DD last month. Total number of buses remain same at 13 buses.
Sv 225G one DD slot converted to SD... wonder why? Even last time, for 2 months this slot was downgraded and then after 2 months upgraded again...
Looks like it might be similar situation... I think should at least get crossover DDs between 5-7pm from DDs that return to Bedok after doing PM peak.
Sv 100 gets 2 more buses..
now a fleet of 28 SDs from 25 SDs in 2013... Just going adding buses as SDs cannot manage load in Upper Aljunied - Aljunied MRT section and again PM peak from Shenton/HF can be high towards Commonwealth/Ghim Moh.

Blame BNDEP/CGBP for their improper management of bus deployments.

Yes, so this is what happened... Sv 196 got 3 BSEP DDs, and then SBST downgraded 3 dd slots to Sd.

No change to deployments this way...

There is change... Because 3 BSEP buses were added... So guess frequency has improved... Just that now more SDs from SBST side

As you pointed out.. Upper Aljunied is apparently the culprit... 135,155 is okay - they do not really need DDs... It is more nice to have... 100 needs DDs.
my suggestion to SBST was to swap 100/145 route such that one goes from Toa Payoh to Ghim Moh and other from Serangoon to Buona Vista... This way both Henderson and Upper Aljunied taken care of... And the other service can have majority dd fleet.
upgrde for Service 50
SBS7515L/SBS7438B keep sdoing a newly created shift nowadays

What does that mean? Sv 50 still has 14 buses - 9 DDs, 4 SDs.
Sv 410W does not have increase in # perm DDs but has more crossover DDs in PM peak... Something LTA should try experimenting with 113A.

upper aljunied is not the culprits.. apparently sv135 have been using Non-aircon DDs in the past... and there are lots of DDs (64/65/154/8 etc) plying through upper aljunied road without any incidents when there is a temporary diversion due to some accident at macpherson road....
Upgrade
sv 147 now has 33 buses and not 32... One DD added.

Then what is the issue... Can u share?
Originally posted by carbikebus:163 i think 1 DD slots converted to SD..The most i see is 4 DDs
Suspect it is on one of the Tridents being taken out and replaced by ex-JB DM3500, can confirm?
I remember 163 used to have 1 full day WEG but no more since the last Aug ett revision (1 E-shift convert to full day). Now full day slots run only by the 10 WAB single decks.
Also 163 then had plenty of weekend DDs but ever since 50 was introduced, weekend fleet most of the time full single deck.
161 weekend fleet also very inconsistent. Sometimes stick to perm WEGs, sometimes spam all kinds of single deck buses. And it seems that this weekend 161 stick back to perm DDs (for the first time on Sunday) and there are hardly any non WAB MK4s seen.
Sv 109 seems to have an additional DD from HG added since Sv 109A started. Will double-check again and update.
Sv 64 has now a fleet of 12 buses and not 11... One SD added... So now 8 SDs, 4 DDs.
Most of 159's WAB buses(chiefly the Citaro, since 159 is not considered WAB) has been handed over to other services(The WAB service's KUBs have been given to 160/170/170X), the replacing fleet is additional(the trade between b10m and Citaro/KUB + more) Volvo B10Ms from cross-border fleets. It increased the frequency of 159 dramatically, and bus-bunching is more common now, sometimes seems intentional.
First we had:
Bunching observations
Then this thread appears
Next we will have threads like...
Buses with spoilt stop buttons
Buses with vandalised seats
Routes with full single deck
Routes with full double deck
Improvement of frequency
Buses with long waiting times
etc.
Some observations you (as in everyone) noticed may be so similar in scope with an existing thread that it could be discussed in that thread (eg redeployments for this thread), others are so insignifcant or common (like the bunching thread) that you might as well keep those information to yourselves and learn to suck it up like the rest of the commuters do.

Too bad you have a problem. You can choose to ignore! Cheers!
