Omg... Won't that be a little too much?? I think first LTA should convert most SD slots to DD so that people get a seat and don't have to go standing... Adding buses often leads to bunching with first bus cramped and second one empty... And then ppl will still complain.
satisfaction is v high when high capacity buses are added and Sd slots are converted to dd. Give it a little more thought.

Of course! Sbs 43 is direct from IMH to NEX. Who does not want a direct and faster journey??? IMH to buangkok mrt then mrt to NEX slightly more troublesome!
No I meant... People wanting to take MRT.. Can just take 43 to Buangkoi instead of 43 to Serangoon... But if you observe there are v few people who take 43 to Buangkok even though it is so close but prefer to take 43 to Serangoon instead... And CCL cannot be the reason as 43 takes them to Paya Lebar as well... Other side of CCL is off peak direction from Serangoon.

Hi mr BusAnalyser, I am just predicting only. It all depends if they want to make sbs 43 the only service to serve the new roads in Punggol west or not. If they decide it to be, sbs 43 will sure get new buses and improved frequency. If they decide a new service in the next few months, sbs 43 will remain status quo. Cheers

Oh okay if you mean people wanting to take MRT. In any way, I just want to point out that as of this moment, sbs 27 and sbs 43 are the only 2 doorstep bus services at buangkok mrt. Both are immensely popular.

Once those flats are operational, would make sense to have a SWT between Punggol town... Maybe 2 Citaros can do the job... For full route can add 1 DD and upgrade 2 Sd slots to DD...
When do people start occupying the flats in Punggol west?

Hi mr BusAnalyser, not too sure about the exact date. Anyway we will just have a close lookout. Cheers.
Along with improving usability of Sv 11, this route will also improve usability at Stadium MRT... Observe when train stops, not more than 10 people alight/board.

Tink will be a while b4 lor 1 geylang ter actuali close, LTA juz completed a super long covered walkway along lor 1 geylang linking ter to MRT...
3 buses max...
1941D n 2 citaros... nt tt far journey can be completed in 27mins max at proper 45kmh rather than crawling nw at 25kmh...
SBS6428L, SBS6441Y and SBS6445L most likely to be added

Reason?
Fleet restriction at Rhu Cross. Read Public transport Sg website about fleet restriction.
Great news but only the twice loop at National stadium..guess use small plate..
I think only 3 buses for a start,2A/P & 1S..events should have another bus.If loads picking up then another daily bus will be added.
141 should extend to Sims Place terminal

Even if it loops twice, it calls on different stops, so should not be a problem to differentiate.
DD77, since LTA is extending 11, wldnt it good to have a big banner to be hung at mountbatten rd(mountbatten sq bus stop) to announce this, those staying at Tg Rhu are a bit blur...
Bsides, the extension info panel is v small n nwadays, its A4 page... 2 small
17-19 mins frequency during peak for the new route 11. which mean max 3 a/p buses....

That's quite less. Current Sv 11 had frequency of 22-25 mins..

Hi mr Acx1688, yes it is true and I agree. However, they prefer word of mouth and usually this is very powerful. Because residents in many estates of Singapore are very keen on such news of either new or extended bus services which benefit them. It is not everyday that estates can get new bus services serving them. However with increased population and HDB flats, more bus services must be introduced. Now I can sense an air of excitement and euphoria with each introduction of new BSEP service. People just keep hoping that it is in their estate. Cheers.

Hi mr Acx1688, you forget that most people will normally go out every single day. So when they are at the bus stop, the first thing they will do is look at the pole from afar. They will see the new number suddenly come out on the plates at the bus pole. Then everything follows accordingly. Even for those who does not look at the pole, surely the new bus will turn up either in their direction or opposite direction. So no problem they will have opportunities to get to know the new services. Cheers

Ah,DD,nwadays, ev1 look at cell phone, no1 look at flag pole, most of the forumnites can attest to tt, need smethin BIG to catch their attention. To add on, most SG passengers are not street smart(prob due to mugging education system). Eg, 162M,700A goes to Suntec n is freq n have seats available but pple still squeeze on board already crowded 36 at ORC evdae, Y? Another Eg, yest 36B n 36 came, both empty n heading fr East side to town, female passenger insisted on taking 36 coz info on 36A/B not available at bus stop n details on SWT not prominently displayed...

Hi mr Acx1688, by your very first sentence, you have already answered yourself and solved the whole issue! 'ev1 look at cell phone' => see timing of bus arrival on new stops on app => they will know sbs 11 has been extended to tanjong rhu. Cheers.
