Hi mr BusAnalyser, either a new trunk service or a route extension/amendment will come sooner or later for haig road request. As I have said earlier, there is no direct linkage for haig road residents to the nearest Dakota mrt at 1.4km. What I mean is direct doorstep linkage.
LTA is now very pro-active in giving people direct doorstep linkage and all those missing linkage at those roads frequented by only 1 or 2 bus services. Maybe they realized that when Singapore population was about 3 to 4 millions 10 years ago, many bus services were abruptly terminated or shortened especially those that frequented the north-east corridor. Now of course with population increasing, surely they must put buses back onto the road. Or else too squeezy for the general non-car driving population. Cheers.

Haig rd doorstep linkage should be to PYL int rather than dakota...

Happy to know LTA is serious about creating a direct link for Haig road residents. Just a plea that divert Sv 135 rather than creating one more new service. The Paya Lebar bus stop is already so crowded with so many buses, there is no point adding one more service when Sv 135 can be diverted. Diverting Sv 135 from Haig will not upset anyone but only benefit.

Hi mr Acx1688, not necessarily must go to paya lebar mrt although it will be preferred. Cheers.

Hi mr BusAnalyser, not necessarily will divert sbs 135. When a link is necessitated, a thorough review of the bus services around the required area will have to be done. Cheers.

Good.. We are saying the same thing... And yes need MRT connection to Paya Lebar.. Ok if no connection to Dakota as Paya Lebar connects to both CCL and EWL.

DD77 e reason for PYL INT is the same logic for ur reply why SWT109A should originate frm SGN stn(Int station) rather than BUANGKOK...

Two big mistakes
1. No need for new service just for Haig... Diverting 135 gets the job done as 43/76 is also there.
2. Connect to Paya Lebar... Connecting to Dakota is useless and will also not connect full road of Haig as it will have to turn mid way.

How is it useless? For point 2

Hi mr Acx1688, different. Sbs 109A is on the coat-tail of sbs 109. Sbs 109 originates from serangoon. So based on what reason sbs 109A should come from buangkok??? For the haig road case, it is not riding on a parent service like sbs 109 and sbs 109A. It may be a new route to Dakota or it may be a new or amendment route bypassing paya lebar mrt. Cheers

Hi mr BusAnalyser, why mistake??? They may have plans for new service coming from other areas and happen to bypass haig road. It may not be solely just for haig road. Rest assured whether it bypasses Dakota or paya lebar, there will be sufficient loading at other HDB estates to warrant a new service. Cheers.

43,76,135 no matter wic route is chosen after Paya Lebar Rd, (Sims Ave,Engku Aman Rd,Geylang Rd), Haig Rd, continue its journey
Return leg:Haig Rd, (Geylang Rd) n continue on its journey
Y the whole stretch of Haig Rd should be covered us to cater toALL the folks living there, diverting to Dakota maybe near but it will miss the other stretch of Haig Rd

Hi mr Acx1688, highly possible. Or even increased frequency of sbs 43 together with minor route amendment of sbs 43 along Punggol west area due to upcoming HDB flats. Out of a sudden, sbs 43 has become extremely popular!

Best to cover whole HAIG RD stretch not partial... Unfair to residents there...
Revival of PTC approved 41 will minor tweaks...

Then read point 2 again.. I have mentioned why...

I like the route but can I suggest that it does Meyer road on its way back instead of Mountbatten.. This way will provide direct service to Meyer road residents who have to walk quite some distance today...

Sv 43 will need new stops once Punggol west is developed... Hopefully it will do Senthul before it terminates.

Sv 43 needs to more Sd slots converted to DD for sure... Even PM load towards NEX is very high.. I think people from IMH also prefer to take 43 to NEX... Rather than Buangkok MRT... Wonder why.

Hi mr BusAnalyser, I think sbs 43 will get another strong boost in frequency in the upcoming few months. Frequency will be boosted to a notch below sbs 72. We shall closely see! Cheers!
Of course! Sbs 43 is direct from IMH to NEX. Who does not want a direct and faster journey??? IMH to buangkok mrt then mrt to NEX slightly more troublesome!
