2) SMB3501L SMB3502J SMB5001A (Might be)
3) SMB3501L SMB3502J SMB3503G (Might be)

As 972 is under BSEP, most likely it will be the 3rd grp(all 3 are BSEP buses).
Wondering what's the next svc after 972...

Upcoming Two SMRT Services will have Double Deckers:
1) 106
2) 188
http://www.mynewsdesk.com/sg/smrt/pressreleases/smrt-double-deckers-to-begin-service-on-13-july-2014-1016455
"In the next 3 months, more Double Deckers will be progressively introduced to 9 other bus services, following a series of road tests, tree pruning and personnel training. These are essential services plying longer, heavily used routes, namely Bus Services 106, 188, 190, 850E, 951E, 960, 963, 966 and 969."
Duties 850ES192 and 850ES193 will definitely get the double deckers, since SMRT annonuced that 969 is a Double Decker friendly service.

They also announced 850E will get DDs.

Tree pruning will be along Newton-Little India stretch for 960. Maybe 48, 66 will start getting DDs too in future.

850E, 951E for sure.
860 deserves too but will only happen with move to yishun temp interchange.
Quite pleased that they trim down the trees for better purpose..
Base on current no. of bendies in the svc, I guess....
> 106 : 12-15 DD + 2 BSEP DD
> 188 : 15 DD + 1 BSEP DD
> 190 : 30 DD + 0 BSEP DD
> 960 : 15 DD + 0/1 BSEP DD
> 963 : 12 DD + 0-2 BSEP DD
> 966 : 5-8 DD + 1-2 BSEP DD
> 969 : 10 DD + 2 BSEP DD
> 850E : 3-4 BSEP DD (Likely the same 2 from 969 will perform, 1/2 from 903/860/901)
> 951E : 2-4 BSEP DD (Likely only 2, crossover to 962, OR 1 from 913E..)
Still left with 78 DD(both BSEP n non-BSEP)..

Next round will be for Yishun Interchange with 851, 854, 857
also 169, 172, 187, 856, 985 should happen in future.
why no BSEP dd for 190 in ur list?

I'm not sure if there's a need for BSEP slots for 190...
But is the svc going to run both bendy n DD?
I think 856 can consider...

SBST has been running ADDs for 21 years.
And SMRT makes it seem like some huge-huge event.
Sure, I appreciate SMRT's move to take onboard DDs.
But there is really nothing to celebrate about being late by 2 decades if we look from this perspective.

It is definitely an event worth celebrating for SMRT. It has taken the plunge and it is a historic event in its operations.
If Google came with gmail years after hotmail, doesn't mean it should not celebrate launch of its new product. Gmail is more successful than hotmail today. Cheers!
