ECP is big bro.
UEC Ter isn't too far actually.
Only lacking an underpass that made the current route too long winded.

I mean one near the centre of the park, as most people will get off at Marine Terrace or Marine Parade Road to use an underpass to get to that part of East Coast Park...

Central planning says no area for BC to rest buses to park woh...

In M Parade, there are 3 areas tt can be considered...
1. Parkway Parade (15,966)
2. Marine Terrace (76)
3. Siglap Link (36B,55,135,155)
Actually, if planning authorities actually look closely at water transport, ie ferries,
Bedok Jetty can be transformed with cosmetic changes...
Then you have a Bedok Ferry Pier with a minimal bus Terminal, similar to that in HK, ie TST, North Point, Kowloon City, Hung Hom...

Siglap is best to have terminal there for 55, 76, 135, 155, 36B...
966 and 15 can be extended to Lor 1 Terminal, one via Mountbatten and the other via Haig road.

Okay.

That shouldn't be the case...Dover MRT is just SP and the vincinity is just a park connector and SST nearby...

* : 904 will ply between Woodlands North <-> Woodlands Reg
** : All 911E buses will ends at Woodlands North.
Side note : Woodlands Reg int SHOULD NOT be just below the MRT but rather along the road side(closer to some bus stops). Prob a expansion is needed..

cannot be at Commonwealth Avenue West and North Buona Vista Road because they are Major Arterial Roads - traffic too high for a traffic light junction to accommodate bus interchange/terminal. This may explain why Buona Vista Bus Terminal is at Holland Drive.
Well, I think it is already quite overdue for a bus terminal/interchange at Buona Vista MRT Station, if there should be one over there, since the circle line mrt is already operational for 3 years now.
the proposed bus interchange at Buona Vista MRT Station would serve primarily Queenstown/Holland Village area - rather than Clementi area - there should still be a bus interchange at Dover MRT Station, while there is one at Buona Vista MRT Station.
A bus interchange at Buona Vista MRT Station would improve the public transport connectivity in Queenstown/Holland Village area as this would create a hub-and-spoke system there.
Improvements being made in BV terminal, i suppose there won't be any shifting or building any new interchange at this area for the time being.

Rumours on the ground running high was that the new BV interchange will be integrated into a new HDB development at the 'recent torn down' Ghim Moh enbloc site. The recent improvement to BV terminal was just a 're-configuration' to 'make space' for the deep underground cable project.
Originally posted by carbikebus:Yeah bro i also heard rumours that future Buona Vista Int will be at the en bloc side that have underpass for passengers from MRT to walk to the new Int..For now no one can confirm though
if the site is at Ghim Moh Road - near/next to Ghim Moh Bus Terminal, then I think Buona Vista Bus Terminal should just remain at where it is and be converted into a bus interchange - similar to Yio Chu Kang Bus Terminal.
because the current site is so much more well-connected to the roads than the possible site at Ghim Moh Road. as in, it is more central. if at new site, there may be bottlenecks at the section of Commonwealth Avenue West near it, because all the buses have to turn into Ghim Moh Road from Commonwealth Avenue West before it enters the proposed site.
To think about it, it seems that Buona Vista area does not have Town Centre.
if want to have new Buona Vista bus interchange, might as well also build town centre along with it.
I personally feel that the site bounded by Rochester Drive, Vista Exchange Green and North Buona Vista Road is more central and more suitable to have Buona Vista Bus Interchange, for at least a few reasons:
-the location is more central
-connected to more roads - won't have bottlenecks.
-if relocated to there, it can shortern routes 74, 91, 191 and 200. meanwhile, routes 32, 145 and 185 wil be shorterned by a little bit. I think only route 48 will become longer as a result.

Leave the buona vista bus terminal at current holland drive site. Best location due to its centralized location. I stayed there and grew up there!

Hopefully it gets a renovated interchange close to Vista with direct underpass to MRT. Can combine Gim moh and Bnv terminal services. Though there will be need to extend one of the services to go to Gim moh estate apart from Sv 92. I would prefer it to be Sv 200 rather than Sv 100 or Sv 111.

Hi mr BusAnalyser, if it really happens, sbs 100 or sbs 111 to link to ghim moh will be a much better choice than sbs 200. There is this link to commonwealth ave to be maintained. Some residents need to go to commonwealth mrt to get on west-east mrt line. If follow to what you say, linking ghim MOH residents with sbs 92 and sbs 200 both of which go to circle line mrt. The loss of direct linkage is to be avoided. Cheers

Yes didn't think of that. You are right. There are many Ghim Moh residents that would be disturbed especially coz of 111. Am peak from first stop, there can be 35-40 pax. 111 should be extended to Clementi via Ullu Pandan or better would be to extend to Bukit Batok via Ngee Ann (but this is not possible since 111 is SBST).
Why not build a bus interchange near one-North MRT? There's quite some space to develop there
Locating in one-north will deprive many residents in Holland, Ghim Moh from many existing bus services. As a resident in Holland, I would rather that they stay put as bus terminals in current locations.

It can be possible but please piss the 61 off from Bt Batok OR wait until Tengah N.T. is ready then 111 can utilise the space at Bt Batok. The place that cannot guarantee SBST service is Sembawang.

Why are you interested in pissing off 61 from Bukit Batok? You know tight, in today's times, the main loading of 61 comes between Ngee Ann and Bukit Batok.

Actually if LTA has enough foresight, it should have directed Star Vista folks to leave the ground floor for a mini bus terminal...
Good.

Yes, I've been ranting about the dumb queue at RWS for RWS8.... 188R and 963R gotproper queue, but anyhow arrange... Sentosa Bus services everyone will queue at Bus 2, go block the Bus 1 queue, even if they take Bus 1...
