i support having more services start from bus depots. save time for BCs also no need travel to return bus.
proper raffles avenue ter will be chaotic on major event nights..... then you'll have the usual brainless complaints like..... "bus frequency states 8 minutes. this is the first bus stop of the service. the bus did not come despite waiting 8 minutes."
agree with kranji MRT ter.
Yew Tee needs an all-day express bus service to go to town direct.

Any particular reason why?
East:
Changi Airport AC interchange
Siglap or Marine Parade
North East:
Kovan
Buangkok
North:
Woodlands Checkpoint
Kranji MRT
West:
Yew Tee
Bukit Gambok
Buona Vista Interchange
a new bus interchange next to Dover MRT Station can help to relieve traffic at Clementi - while trigger new bus routes in the area to encourage more people to switch to public transport and encourage development of new roads and improvements to existing road networks, to further alleviate the traffic congestion problem at Clementi.

If at Buona Vista MRT Station, the only location is at that land bounded by Rochester Drive and Vista Exchange Green.
cannot be at Commonwealth Avenue West and North Buona Vista Road because they are Major Arterial Roads - traffic too high for a traffic light junction to accommodate bus interchange/terminal. This may explain why Buona Vista Bus Terminal is at Holland Drive.
Well, I think it is already quite overdue for a bus terminal/interchange at Buona Vista MRT Station, if there should be one over there, since the circle line mrt is already operational for 3 years now.
the proposed bus interchange at Buona Vista MRT Station would serve primarily Queenstown/Holland Village area - rather than Clementi area - there should still be a bus interchange at Dover MRT Station, while there is one at Buona Vista MRT Station.
A bus interchange at Buona Vista MRT Station would improve the public transport connectivity in Queenstown/Holland Village area as this would create a hub-and-spoke system there.
Yew Tee.
Buona Vista - Should have it integrated with future Buona Vista Xchange. All svcs from BVT and Ghim Moh shift here.
Marina Ctr - Build an underground int with exits at the empty spaces under the Benjamin Sheares Flyover.
Kovan - revive HG south and convert into AC int.
Marine Parade - revive old int.
Potong Pasir/Woodleigh.
Sin Ming.

Bukit Gombak not needed... Have Bukit Batok alr, just expand Bukit Batok enough alr, coz both places very close to each other and is often considered as one neighbourhood.
CGA I hope they can construct one DD-friendly int in the Jewel... Coz this will make the int centralised and no amendment to existing terminals (besides closing down the existing berths) will be needed. Besides, it allows locals (which makes up most of the suburban bus passengers) to easily shop right in the Jewel, without having to wander around in terminals, giving tourists a cheap image of Singapore. Centralised int also means equal walking distance for all travellers, so no bias... And walking should take less than 5 mins, and you save at least 15 mins of trip time from going a big and long round in CGA...
Bukit Batok Bus Interchange has some capacity for additional bus services, but would not be able to accomodate anymore soon - as the Government develops the area west of Bukit Batok West Avenue 2.
There has to be a bus interchange at Bukit Gomak MRT Station to accomodate bus services to the new area.
Based on the map, it seems that the only possible site for a bus interchange at Bukit Gomak MRT Station is at the triangle-shaped land between the MRT station and Bukit Gomak Stadium - which is only 0.43 Hectres - not big enough for a bus interchange.
in my opinion, due to space constraints, there can only be a bus park at Bukit Gomak MRT Station. As a bus park requires less land and not a need to be next to MRT Station, there are more sites to locate it. Personally, I feel that the land along Bukit Batok West Avenue 5, opposite blk 359/369 and underneath the MRT tracks can be put to better use if the bus park is constructed there.
To make up for the forgone bus interchange option, the Government can upgrade the pair of bus stops (#43571 and #43579) at Bukit Gomak MRT Station to accomodate the number of bus services that a typical small interchange would have.
In short,
meanwhile, bus services that pass by the bus stops (#43571 and #43579) next to Bukit Gombak MRT Station can continue to serve those bus stops (#43571 and #43579).
Instead of being disadvantaged by not having a bus interchange, the residents covered can benefit as they can make transfers to by-passing bus services from the same location (bus stops #43571 and #43579), without having to walk a certain distance to a bus stop somewhere else.
A combined interchange/terminal of Buona Vista and Ghim Moh.
A decent terminal at Marina Centre instead of the current roadside terminal. Maybe something like New Bridge Road terminal.
A bus terminal at Kranji MRT station is not a bad idea as all the Malaysia coaches can be centralised into there rather than scattering all around the island and 170 can be shortened to there too. The missing link between Queen Street and Kranji can be replace by some new service.
Tengah Bus Interchange by first have to get rid of service 61 from Bukit Batok, Bidadari Bus Interchange.
Agree on Hougang South To be another bus terminal/interchange.
115 BC can have a proper resting terminal rather than using the nearby kopitiam toilet.
Whereas 112,113, 119 BCs can use the proper resting terminal to maybe use the toilet? And most importantly commuters can wait for buses in comfort. Rather than standing and waiting cause the railing that is still there is always fully seated.
Maybe Svcs like 132 can be diverted to terminate at hougang south?

Potong Pasir/Woodleigh not needed as of today. Once Biradari develops, there will be one there.

That interchange should rename to Kovan bus interchange.

Strongly agree Kovan needs interchange. Then can have 115 to Defu and back, 113 with enhanced frequency to HG st 11 and back, 325 to start from here (let 132 still go to HG MRT as this diversion will remove link between ave 2 and HG MRT).
Personally, I feel that Bukit Merah Bus Interchange is so out of place, not near to any MRT station. It would be good if it is relocated to a site next to a MRT station, and renamed to align itself to the MRT Station next to it.
There are two MRT stations in the vincinity: Tiong Bahru and Redhill. Both are each to some extent not feasible to have bus interchange next to it.
Redhill - MRT tracks too low (because need to descend to go underground). I think at most only the Standard buses can go under it.
Tiong Bahru - the vincinity is already developed. besides, the area is Prime land.
Alternatively, the Government can try to design an underground bus interchange at Redhill MRT Station - and have provisions for future developments above it, if it does not intend to sell the land yet.

- Bukit Merah Bus Interchange occupies around 1.10 Hectres of land.
- There is around 3.32 Hectres of land to develop a new bus interchange next to Redhill MRT Station, to replace Bukit Merah Bus Interchange.
- So should be more than enough, to even have more bus services than Bukit Merah Bus Interchange.
It is really not needed that an interchange needs to be close to MRT. You should go and visit BMR interchange in PM peak and you will see how well it is utilized.
131 - 25/30 pax
275 - 25/30 pax
132 - 40/45 pax
5 - 40/45 pax
16 - 25/30 pax
153 - 30/35 pax
198 - 45/50 pax
272 - 30/35 pax
273 - 30/35 pax
176 - 35/40 pax
167 - 20/25 pax
851 - 35/40 pax
139 - 30/35 pax
you go and see you will get an idea about the high volume of passenger traffic.

A terminal near East Coast Park/Marine Parade. Upper East Coast Ter is too far from East Coast Park... Best location should be around Still Road South or Tanjong Katong Road South.
