This thread is intended to post bus bunching observation/spotting. We often see buses of same service number bunch up. I am putting this thread so that we can report them, and this way we can also observe services that often bunch. Please put date, service number and bus type (DD/SD/bendy) when you state your spotting.

2 DDs on sv 51 observed bunching at Eunos AM peak towards Jurong Interchange. I was wondering that if the DDs are already sticking to each other, this is probably how they will travel all the way up to Jurong.
A little more investigation showed there was a non-WAB bus on iris after 04 minutes that would call the stop. My prediction that by the time this bus reaches Havelock, it would touch the other 2 in front, and then all 3 will travel together to Jurong.
What can BCs do to avoid this? I am sure the wait time for the first of the 3 bunched up buses would be 20+ minutes.
Ever got thread like this before and it was locked...
...
From my experiences 65 seems to have this issue regularly.

哈哈, actually to be honest, there are really too many cars on the road resulting in heavy bunching.
Cars seldom give way to buses when they want to filter out and indiscriminate parking with NO ENFORCEMENT by LTA is making it worse
Just to day, East Coast Rd, os Holy Family,
Both sv12(SBS8427B,SBS7343R) came together, SBS8621G was late, SBS6028H was late, SBS7333U was also late
Loadind/unloading at bus stops and traffic light patterns will cause bunching...
I am not defending PTOs but i experience daily myself and see it, feedback to yellow line enforcers but nothing done...
sv36 > stuck at Parkway Parade bus stop so much illegal parking everyday and cars refusing to let the bus leave the bus bay until they have to force their way out
SBS7333U thought is ARBP 14?

It is AR 14 ah, i din say it is BN bus...
I just said all the buses came together at the same time due to congestion further up at East Coast Rd area
Dun get confused...
190 is the best example for SMRT

179 as well..one day can have many occurences already due to its high frequency
410pm (Lee Wee Nam bus stop): SBS3132J bunch with SBS3624G
635pm (Innovation Ctr bus stop): SBS3657L (179A), SBS3628X (179A) , SBS3623J (179)
Anw i think everyday i will post here cos everyday i will see bus bunching..today itself got 5 occurrences on 307...
7.35am (Blk 708 bus stop): SMB213M (AP04) bunch with SMB105S (AP01)
7.45am (Yew Tee MRT bus stop): SMB219Y (AP03) bunch with TIB738M (S201)
3.10pm (Opp Lot 1 bus stop): SMB214K (AP05) bunch with SMB211T (AP02)
7.20pm (Blk 204 bus stop): SMB213M (AP04) bunch with SMB211T (AP02)
11pm (Blk 765 bus stop): SMB219Y (AP03) bunch with SMB214K (AP05)
Eh why this kind of thread come again ah?
I tot will always kena lock one?
Aiyo just post in miscellaneous thread or bus observations threa la.
So simple
2 DDs on sv 76 bunch at Mountbatten towards YCK. 76 always has this bunching problem because of its long looping point. Why don't they just create roadside terminal at Siglap and get services like 76 to halt there. This way at least schedules will be adhered to and continual bunching can be reduced.
Is it necessary to create this thread? Bus bunching is normal what, don`t understand keep complaining, I`m tired of user bus analyzer keep complaining and giving suggestions that is unusable. I suggest that you go work at SBSTransit betterlah, you got the quality, you are an expert at bus loadings and can solve bus bunchings situation and of manage all the drivers schedule so that bunching of buses will decrease, can?
ouch

sv76 bunching daily is a natural occurence, there is no control...
sv 76 now loop at M Terrace, can follow sv36 style, have a 10minute layover, change driver if possible if not, its ok
So roads many things can happen...291 also bunching,8 also bunching.Take it as a bonus for passengers cause they got alternative to choose front or rear bus.Nowadays 969 also bunching along Yishun..Too many bsep, traffic lights timings and road conditions.
Alternatively, 8, 27, 50, 53, 72, 74, 87, 88, 101, 105, 112, 133, 238 are some of the services that are always bunching.
As for 8, demand is high so there is a need to bunch buses. Normally kubs cant pick up the whole crowd at macpherson towards toa payoh.
As for 238, most crowded feeder service in toa payoh, so there are more buses needed than the ideal number of the buses intended for a 6km route. There is an excess of buses needed. But overall, bunching is inevitable.
As for 72, too many buses for it's route due to its demand of students. There is an excess of buses needed. But overall, bunching is inevitable.
As for 27, 53 route to looping point too long, when front bus picks up the load at the bus stops, second bus catches up and so on and so forth.
For other services im still trying to understand why.

Your phrasing is so similar for 72 and 238...
Woodlands side normally i see 858,911/911E,950,966 are the ones that tends to bunch up
CCK: 67, 172, 190, 300, 302, 307, 985

Sv 8 I can understand. They normally dispatch the SDs together. 1 Sd impossible to take load, so they share load. Sometimes also dd bunching though.

I haven't observed bunching on 172, 985

Agreed... And for Sv 76 mostly bunching of 2 DDs. Add to it when a 43 dd joins them. I don't need to elaborate more, do I? :)

haha no need, the DL face on the squashed first SD sv43 explains all!
