check out some of the SBST DDs. 3273 has a box with the following indicators on it : acceleration, braking, swerve, cruise, rev etc.... i cant recall the specific indicators, but there are 6 of them.
judging by how the thread has gone, its safe to say that SMRT has adopted a 3rd party telemetry system for its buses... i was expecting theyd procure the telematics package from MAN, but again given the large number of MBs in the fleet (inc the 405Gs), a 3rd party telemetry provider (possibly ZF) could be possible too.

Saw it on the Batch 3 Wrights (located beside the headlight switch). The indicators (from top to bottom) are Revving, Idling, Braking, Acceleration, Speed and Curving.

yup i will keep a lookout on SBST DDs the next time i board it..yea..it seems SMRT outsource to a 3rd party vendor given that for now, Habits, MAN, OCs and Smiley bendies are getting it...
I would think the remaining models (exclude Citaros which i have no idea why, notice no Citaros were spotted by anyone) didnt get them as they are going to be scrap soon?
SMB1381D - 966, today driven by an Indian BC, fkcare the box, and keep beeping all the way on PIE > BKE while on 'N' gear...

Only on Batch 3 Wrights as of now. I believe its the in-house integrated Volvo telematics package.
* SMB3062L installed 'Black-Box'...

would agree that that SBST might be adopting Volvo's telematics system for the Batch 3 WEG2s, but again thats a conjecture until the KUBs start to get similar units.
id think so as well, unless there are interfacing issues between the telenatics unit and the non-CAN buses, which again is very unlikely as the 405Gs are equipped with the telematics unit.

Found it, it actually belongs to Volvo and it is called the I-Coaching.
Photo from the website, those installed on Batch 3 B9TLs are exactly the same.

Yup..i saw it on 3774G today..

yep, the B3 WEG2 i was on had the same box.... but then again, relating back to how SMRT implemented it telemetry system, SBST only has coverage for only the Volvos at best? KUBs and Taros?
SBS2719Z was 5 minutes late. There were low frequency beeps. Are these part of the telematics trial?

TIB1203H (KJ 188) - On 190 (1st June). Something wrong with the black box, speeding indicator and sound activates at 50km/h, driver had to drive below 50km/h while on the highway.

quite a number of buses 50km/hr will activate the sound, some buses 60km/hr..so actually which is the right one?

No wonder gearbox always gone case..He will be in trouble once the system fully activated. While vehicle is moving its bad for the gearbox in the long run if driver engaged N..

188 got one BC do that also..before pulling into the bus stop, while still at a distance, he will engage N gear while the bus still moving at at least 40km/hr and the bus will glide "free gear" until it comes to a stop at the bus bay...

60km/h should be correct since the national speed limit for buses in SG in 60km/h. If 50km/h really siao liao, confirm late one.
Heard the beeping sound when the meter went about 60 kmph on SMB143G (AMDEP 985). Should be it.

If so, this will be the first spotting on SMRT Citaros..but did u spot the box? Cos whenever i board a Citaro i will glance at the BC cabin but always fail to locate the box...
