???
Saw the service 121 poster put up on the bus stop poles on last night, except some bus stops around Telok Blangah estate (Telok Blangah Crescent/Way/Rise) haven't put up the poster yet.

6 citaros should be enough to start with. If need more, can add capacity later.
High demand...today even got full to door....

I know this route will be extremely popular, but on Sunday and first day, packed to door???
Originally posted by carbikebus:Seen packed to the door while others still have fully seated plus few standees…Suffer same fate as 195.Probably need more than 8 buses…120 can have 6 A/P 2 S
Clearly it is taking away some loading from 195. All those along TB crescent and Rise who would walk to 195 stop, now have a direct bus from their door step. So, together with 195, this service should be able to manage loading well.
Hmm faked pax or real demands? :X
Doorstep service like this will normally see high demand. Cheers
is there any double decker bus in the service? i think sbst should have one or two of them for service 121. LTA should look into how to clear the tree trunks for double decker service there. or let smrt take over for bendies bus service.

Elderly makes up most of the pax

If DDs could have been possible by clearing tree trunks, 145/195 would have had DDs long back. I dont think that is on priority of LTA list. Also now with 2 services 121 and 195, the load should be well distributed and should not need DDs.

That's what I tried to explain in my earlier post. The route is not DD friendly, else 195 would have got DDs long time back. Kim Tian Rd no problem. Tehlok Blangah way is where the issue is.

Are u sure it is telok blangah way? Sv195 is already having issue in turning to commonwealth drive. That the main issue.

And no one bother to change... LTA sleeping again, if 121 is for elderly folks, EDS so tiny how to see??!?
If you observe sv 195 at Tiong Bahru Plaza, you would know that each bus takes 70 pax there, with some 10 pax left out. So around 80-90 pax every 10 minutes during PM peak. Now with two services, you can expect this to be split + some new additional pax who will go to TBP or take TB MRT due to direct access. So 121 loading should be around 50-55 pax during PM peak at Tiong Bahru and so should be 195 loading with 50-55 pax. This way both services get relieved with good number of pax.
I think 121 is a good route. So you see while I complain about 120 route being shitty, I also acknowledge when a route is good.
