Woodlands bus interchange is already integrated - with Woodlands MRT Station above. The most is to retrofit it with fans (similar to the elevated MRT Stations) (I understand it is very hot inside the bus interchange. a simple solution is to install fans), add 1/2 more escalators, re-paint the walls, re-tile the floors, etc.

According to URA's 2013 Draft Master Plan, the site around Choa Chu Kang MRT station - presently consist of the existing Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange and that empty plot of land opposite it - is a Reserve Site: "the specific use has yet to be determined" and "Interim uses that are compatible with the uses in the locality may be allowed subject to evaluation by the competent authority." Similar to the one at Woodlands, I understand the atmosphere inside Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange can be very hot, at night. Hence, for now, a cheap solution is to install fans in the bus interchange.
In future, I think this is how Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange will be upgraded:

Guess Jurong East and Bukit Batok MRT will be closest for it then or Boon Lay MRT via Upper Jurong.

In future, I think this is how Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange will be upgraded:
- 1. A temporary Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange will be constructed at that empty plot of land.
- 2. Operations will be relocated to the temporary facility.
- 3. The current Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange will be demolished and rebuilt - along with the new Jurong Region Line.
- 4. Another Sengkang Bus Interchange will be constucted at the site where the current Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange is - MRT station at basement/ground level, Bus Interchange at ground level, LRT above, integrated with a Shopping centre.
- 5. When the new Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange opens, by 2025, operations will move back to its present location.
Once a again CCK is just ignored.

It's called "integrated hub".
AND LRT wont be directly connected to bus int if that's how you phrase it.

Sengkang Bus Interchange at Choa Chu Kang?

Sengkang at CCK?
Wow, that means the original interchange from the 90s will still be the same... Might be the interchange which didn't rebuild for more than 20 years...
actually, LTA can just build a new bus interchange at the empty land opposite Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange.
the current Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange (service road, parking bay and building) occupies 1.05 Hectares of land.

the current Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange (service road, parking bay and building) occupies 1.05 Hectares of land.
- The empty plot of land opposite Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange is at least 1.84 Hectares.
- besides, the plot of land is next to a main road (Choa Chu Kang Drive) and the location is "more central".
- AMK Hub (16) (including AMK bus interchange) occupies 1.54 Hectares of land, Compass Heights (10) (SK bus interchange) occupies 1.11 Hectares of land, and Clementi Mall (14)(including Clementi bus interchange parking bay) occupies 1.22 Hectares of land.
- the 1.84 Hectares of empty land opposite Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange (14) is sufficient (more than enough) to build a shopping centre, with an air-conditioned bus interchange (same size as current interchange) and a condominium above it.
- if not enough space, the new bus interchange can protrude out to use the land (0.33 Hectares) underneath the MRT tracks, which would enlarge the development area to 2.17 Hectares. {if want, the 2.17 Hectares of land can accommodate a larger bus interchange, to contain more buses [including bendy buses]}
meanwhile, Jurong Region Line is likely to run along Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3 and along the MRT/LRT tracks to terminate at Choa Chu Kang station. The JRL station at CCK is likely to be at where the bus interchange currently is.
- the land containing the current bus interchange, blk302 and the Multi-Storey Car Park can be reserved for future developments, after 2025.
If Choa Chu Kang Int is shifted, it will be inconvienent for people transferring to and fro the MRT...

so, I think it is better that the empty land be used for temporary bus interchange, while the existing land (total area is 1.58 hectres)(not including the HDB block and the HDB carpark) is re-developed.
while re-developing, provisions can be made for JRL station, or the JRL station can be built simultaneously with the re-development.
