  The facelifted Wright Gemini 2 parts have been applied to KMB's newest 12.8 meters Volvo B9TL in assembly plant...
  This is currently the 2nd 12.8 meter DD for KMB, with the 1st being a ADL E500... While CTB will be receiving their 1st 12.8 meters ADL E500 very soon...

  Hopefully the trial for 12.8m buses will be successful. Perhaps it will spark some interest among our local operators to also trial such buses.

  Hopefully the remaining Wrights that are being delivered to SBS Transit could be updated with the new facelift too.

  Better make it ply Route 6 when it completes...

  As of now I wouldn't dream of taking this 30-min freq svc to Tsuen Wan... I'll be back to the MTR...

  Exco approves 3.9% KMB fares rise

  The Executive Council has approved a fare increase of 3.9 percent by the Kowloon Motor Bus Company. The new fare will take effect on July 6. The Transport Secretary, Anthony Cheung, said 86 percent of passengers would have to pay less than 40 cents more per trip.

  KMB getting cui over the years... 

  Though NWST fleet maintenance do leaves much to be desired...

  Really hope TKO - TW svc can be operated under NWFB... If under KMB confirm the route will circle around half of Kowloon instead of express after TKO... Plus all the times KMB underoperate/off schedule, deploy old and non-WAB buses to K depot, and fare hikes, I think KMB seriously does not deserve this potentially high profit service...

  作為沙田å�€å�€åŸŸè·¯ç·šé‡�組計劃的一部分，ä¹�巴將於8月4日（星期一）開辦全新88Xç·š [沙田é�µè·¯ç«™ → 平田 (循環線)]，æœ�務時間為早上7時正至晚上10時正，ç�­æ¬¡ç‚º30分é�˜ä¸€ç�­ 。88X線於早上7 時至中å�ˆ12時30分開出的ç�­æ¬¡å°‡é€”經大è€�山隧é�“ã€�ä¹�é¾�ç�£ã€�觀塘市中心ã€�平田巴士總站ã€�è—�田（北）巴士總站，å†�經觀塘繞é�“å�Šå¤§è€�山隧é�“特快返回沙田；至於 下å�ˆ1時å�Šä¹‹å¾Œé–‹å‡ºçš„ç�­æ¬¡ï¼Œå°‡æœƒåœ¨å¹³ç”°è¿”回沙田站的途中æ‰�途經觀塘市中心。

   

  88X全程車費為10元2角。

  KMB Introduces Route 88X

   

  As a part of Sha Tin Route Reorganisation, KMB will introduce a new route 88X [Sha Tin Station → Ping Tin (Circular)] on Monday 4 August 2014. The service hours will be between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. daily with a frequency of 30 minutes. The departures between 7:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. will go via Tate’s Cairn Tunnel, Kowloon Bay, Kwun Tong Town Centre, Ping Tin Bus Terminus, Lam Tin (North) Bus Terminus and then return to Sha Tin via Kwun Tong Bypass and Tate’s Cairn Tunnel. The departures at 1:00 p.m. and thereafter will be switched to observe Kwun Tong Town Centre when going from Ping Tin to Sha Tin Station.

   

  The full fare of Route 88X will be $10.20.
