In fact there isnt such a thing as a "hybrid engine". The bus is powered by the combination of an electric motor and the traditional combustion engine.
If I am not mistaken, the Sunlong's combustion engine is from Cummins. The electric motor system is from Eaton.
So what "China make" are you talking about actually when the systems are from USA?
Actually I meant that even though most of the parts are made in other countries, it still bears a Sunlong badge. But since SBS Transit has bought so many Volvo buses I wonder why Volvo didn't offer SBS a hybrid yet. And I believe SBS had intended to obtain hybrids for testing in 2010, if it was a demo loaned to SBS it would already have been already returned and probably sold to some private operators already, but SBS is still holding on to the buses for some reason (same for RD6066L). This is what that really puzzles me.

HK Taxis mostly are converted CNG not factory fitted.Ask any Malaysian or Indonesian cabbies that drive converted CNG taxis and they will tell you the same story.Its aint practical to convert cng in the long run..

Now has minibuses and public buses terminatin there, so different from when I last saw it 4 years ago (the year I moved back to SG)...

Hong kong is like a second home for Singapore ppl, HK has sadly been taken granted by SGreans... Those going there to escape GST and high exchange rates etc and just taking HK as a common travel location... Looking at all those young job-finders now, all think HK as boring and stuff...
Haiz... Missing the times when going to HK to work is like a privilege higher than a king... Not like the young 20s nowadays who disregard how strikingly full of potential HK is, and think working at HK sucks as can work in other places like the US...

In fact, I was saying HK was good!
Only that most (or at least some) Singaporeans unfortunately took HK for granted... And not really appreciate HK for what it truly is.
