Premium 566 will no longer be operated by SBS Transit but it will be taken over by another operator with effect from 4 August 2014.

I guess this is because SBS Transit wants to re-allocate resources to the basic bus services.
Personally, I think the premium service will be taken over by ComfortDelGro bus, not other bus companies.
Premium services are profitable. Why would SBS Transit want to give up the service to an external bus company? I guess this is only an internal transfer from SBS Transit to the parent company. There may be more to come.

Premium Bus Service 532 will no longer be operated by SBS Transit from 11 August 2014
SBS Transit is giving up another Premium Bus Service.
In my opinion, I feel that - if 'ComfortDelGro Bus' is taking over - this could be signs indicating that ComfortDelGro is phasing out SBS Transit and re-branding itself (In future, there may be just 'ComfortDelGro', across all its bus, train and taxi business).

personally, I think in the 'ComfortDelGro' company, only ComfortDelGro (Bus) will bid for bus contracts, whereas SBS Transit will not. In my opinion, I think when the bus contracts model is fully implemented, SBS Transit will cease to exist.
well, of course, all these are only pure speculations. may not be true.
for all we know, the two Premium services will be taken over by other bus companies that are not related to SBS Transit.

I think it must not have been profitable enough. 566 from Meyer road for a long time is going only with 20-25 pax at max. 532 also seen many times coming to CBD with only 15-20 pax each bus. I think this could be the reason.
If you see neither of these have got fleet add or upgrade to DDs unlike other services. Hence, SBST may have happily decided to discontinue these. LTA must have not let them discontinue but find another operator.

Loading has dropped... Best way to check for premium services is to go yo Cbd and check out.. Easy to figure out.. I think from Clementi, Cbd is easily accessible and quick using EWL. Now with enhanced frequency on 284 and flexibility, people seem to have switched.
