TVMobile Nostalgia

  Remember the times when you could watch random TV shows on the bus along the way to work or something?

   

  Well, even though it's out of existance now (sad that Volvo Super Olympians had TVs then had to scrap them. What a waste!) it will still hold a special place in our hearts (or mine at least, I don't know).

   

  So what did you think about TVMobile when it was first introduced and when it was shut down or really, whenever it was operating?

  This is possibly due to bad maintainence of the antenna, but some buses had good mantainence. Kudos to the bus captains who drove the buses which had.

  Still remember watching TVMobile daily on SBS776X during my primary school days. Always enjoyed it when they aired Just for laughs around 1pm sometimes.

  When I went for sch during my sec. days. I love to watch gundam seed when it air early at 6plus.

  wah.... i must b really old then.... my primary school days still got buses that u can open window one.... TV? only at home got lah.....

  Nowaday people watch TV programme in their smartphone or tablet using services like Toggle : http://www.toggle.sg . And difference people want to watch different channel, but from what I recalled in the past, the TV on the bus always tuned to channel 5 only or it is just ads brocasting over and over again.

  Poor signal and lack of programmes killed it...

  It's not sustainable since few company are willing to run advertisement on it. Thus the whole project become just a money loss.

  That was back then...

  With technology advancing, nowadays people are watching stuff on their mobile device instead...

  In a business context, it's not profitable at all, not unless they would instead feature Channel 5 or something and not ads and repeat episodes of Just for Laughs Gags.

  I rmb in the past when i was schooling, the TV mobile in the morning is so loud. I cant even sleep back then :(
