Arhh, OT: What happened ah?
EDIT: Photo removed by ADAMS Coachlines.
If you are still curious of how it looks like, it is quite identical to the Lion's City DD:

If it's for SMRT, then my guess it would be used as a gauge on Sv 190 for SMRT & the Govt to evaluate if Bendies or DDs is the way to go for SMRT Buses' future. Since 388S is alr on Sv 190, so possibly use a MAN DD to compare against its sibling and see which is better in pax load or something.
If it's for SBST, they might be testing out another model to replace their soon-outgoing VO3x Batch 2s or something..I guess the K310UD failed their evaluation after all this while~
According to ADAMS Coachlines, they are told that it is a new secret Mercedes-Benz chassis. Maybe that is why the manufacturer needed more time to make the bus. This will mark the return of MB DDs!

Most likely MB. Unless Adams coachlines want to troll us.

Here's a photo of the so-called SBS9C

plus the rims placement are also the MAN DD way.
even the tail lights also.
lets see how....
MAN and MB are very similar in technology, and most DDs have the wheel placement in this way, only Volvo is the odd one out. Gemilang has also used the MAN Lion's City bodywork for the Volvo B9L buses, so it means that MAN has given them the rights to use their bodywork design.
Hmmm... Sliding plug...
Its clear who's this for...

Because both are originating from Germany.

Do you think they will? Even the Gemilang B9TL uses swinging ones. Sliding plug doors for SBST? Wait long long maybe?
EDS slot is the long type one commonly found in China (which is why this bus reminds me of the DDs in Shenzhen). Maybe follow SMB135E's style?

Maybe? But some Berlin buses use a 'long eds' for the back to have route details too.

Sliding plug door is a very common feature in EUROPE PTOs MANY years ago,
local PTOs start using only recently is really backward, even HK MTR Tung Chung/Airport and other lines trains using sliding plug door...
The citaro plug door in use by SBST/SMRT is used by old version of Citaro in EUROPE...
sv13 sliding is demonstrator/trial unit... juz like 2754X many years ago
My guess : SMRT
Reason :
> Wing Mirror - Generally SBS Transit don't use this type of wing mirrors. Even their Gemilang buses(KUD/B9TL upcoming). Leave aside Citaro...
> MAN - Currently only SMRT is somewhat interested in MAN...Don't see any sign of SBS Transit interested though...
> SBS Transit recently brought in the Gemilang B9TL, kinda impossible that they will bring in another new model?
Anyway, I suspect SMRT bringing in these DDs under BSEP only

Do you know how it got the doors?
The earlier ones malfunctioned. So this was a trial product and it failed! Why? Coz the newer Citaros and Gemilang B9TL, as well as the B3 Wrights all have swing doors!
So don't expect SBST getting the doors so soon. Got it?
Anyway(also), screwed the rear Window. Damn ugly.
