  actually, I think only the buses registered with the 'SMB' prefix - the buses SMRT procured after 2007/8 - will get the new livery.

  The buses from Trans-Island Buses will probably not get the new livery. Even if they need re-painting, they will probably just be de-registered straight away, or continue operating with the damaged livery until SMRT replaces it with a new SMB-prefix bus.

  Only new buses or those that require a fresh coat of paint will get the facelift, he said, so no additional resources are wasted. Repainting all its buses should take between three and five years.

  I guess this means the SMRT bus fleet will be 100% SMB-prefix buses in 3 to 5 years' time. #justsaying
