Distance fare... you can always change to concession pass though.
Currently I would only say that the Taxi fare is damn cock up. Different model different price, some is different company different price...

And it is not just the driver fault. Some of the passengers are so selfish. They don't move to the back or give up their seat to those who need it even when the senior citizen or pregnant woman has asked them to give up their seat.
And these passengers will start to blame the company/govt. when it's their selfishness...
Sorry my english not good, but I see nobody answer your question 2, so I decide to explain the fact why sometime 2 or 3 buses can arrive on same bus stop. This question have been repeated many times by many forum reader....Bus will encounter many issue when start from interchange such as ; handling wheelchair people, waiting for senior citizen, pregnant lady, blind people who walk slowly when boarding or alighting. Even after they board the bus, bus cannot move immediately. It is better to wait these passenger to sit properly first because they can easily fall down. For safety reason too, bus may slow down or sometime not moving at all when there are passenger inside the bus who searching for his/her EZ link card, asking for direction or ticket fare to bus captain. Do you know that many cars didn't give way to bus when the bus want to drive out from every bus stop. Moreover sometime bus will encounter bicycle, so bus need to slow down or take other lane to give 1.5 meter gap to cyclist. Imagine 1st bus and 2nd bus just 15 minute time gap, it is very easy to see two bus stick together if the 1st bus encounter more issuess than the 2nd bus. I tell you all of these hoping you can more compassion towards others. This is public transport and every bus have schedule to follow. If 1st bus late because of some reason from above, 2nd bus cannot slow down because of 1st bus situation, otherwise passenger inside 2nd bus will complaint bus driver drive very slow. I hope my explaination can clear your doubt. After many explanation and you really want appreciate bus services, flag the bus earlier, you may help bus captain to save more time to help more passenger.
Problem with sg is the law, here road users reluctant to give way to buses cause they know its slow unlike HK where buses are limited to 75-80kmh&

HK same case... Still limit speed what, when cars there can travel more than 100km/h (once my taxi driver used to travel 135km/h on the freeway)
No choice, Singapore small, what can be a 20 minute trip actually takes over an hour here...

Its the pattern of driving here that made it slower..I used to ride a Proton Persona 1.6 Malaysian taxi speeding at 150kmh at Penang..
The fastest i drive is 82kmh on a SMRT Buses last time during night svc,My 1.8 car fastest is 200kmh at NS highway and my naked 800cc bike is around 246kmh

Yes... SG wanna play safe safe (can't blame them as the expressways here are really damn short and twisty as compared to some highways in HK and the NS highway), so naturally the speed will be slow...
No matter what it will be a dream if my commute to work to the east can be <30 mins (coz of 60km/h bus ride )

Maybe need more bus lanes
No need more bus lanes, what we need is more considerate drivers that can give way...Another thing raise the bus limit to 70kmh..

Agreed, 60km/h is way too slow, I will propose 75km/h

Your encounters on the public transport system and even within this community itself are very good examples.
Right!

I would propose 75km/h for rigids, and 70km/h for artics and dds.
No need 75 or 80 for the screw up Singaporean roads just 70 will be more than enough for highways or long straight normal roads...
