Oh, perhaps hate is too strong of a word.
1. Bus captains repeatedly telling passengers to move back for the rest of the journey when clearly once or twice is enough. If other passengers don't want to move back, there's no point repeatedly telling them for the rest of the journey. It's like teaching a dumb man how to fish. He never learns. Unless you use an alternative method. But no, certain bus captains go non stop like a broken record, "Ah pls move back pls, ah move to the side pls, ah thankiew ah " for a good 30 seconds.
2. Bus frequency issues. Simple example : woman waited 13 times for bus service 190 to come. Not to mention other bus services experiencing this issue. At times during peak hours, I see 3 of the same bus lined up accordingly. Ridiculous.
3. Passengers that do not ever move back to create space. Inconsiderate commuters so self centered living in their own world of music. Do they ever observe the environment?

Or walk, since he hate so much
Even though i drive car, ride motorbike and ocassion drive private buses i still love our dear public tpt but not the FT BCs and the overcrowding times la
I feel that if the public buses' exit doors are located at the front and back end just like those private buses, those people who are standing will choose to move to the back so that they can exit easily.
Also just wondered why segway is not allowed in Singapore? I think just like bicycle at least it will be faster as long as the user did use it for dangerous stunt

You are too spoiled.
Let me ask you this: Have you ever lived outside Singapore? If you hate the public transport here, I think you will die in any other country including UK.

1) The broken record works. People move in.
2) Learn to run for the bus. Or walk to the previous bus-stop.
3) Moving out WILL BE A HUGE PROBLEM. HAVE YOU EVER TRIED EXITING THE FROM THE FAR REAR OF THE BUS WITH A HUGE BULKY SCHOOL BAG AND CARRYING A PIECE OF YOUR BULKY SKETCHBOOK?
I think I will poke people's eye with my sketchbook and it will be helpful for me and the communters to stand near the door.

Who will buy you a car? I think only your parents or yourself will. I am 15 and I want a car as well. Who doesn't want it?

Really? It is normal for people to hate public transport. Now imagine me, up close to you with less than 10cm of gap staring at your face. Will you at least take a step back?
Put yourself in TS shoes where he have at least one physical contact with another communter, wheather it is just a slight brush, a palm touch...etc And TS is surround by MORE THAN ONE COMMUNTER.
I always return home stressed especially after I commute home in crowded areas. Wish I can take a taxi instead. sigh.

I think what he meant is that SG PT is better than many other countries (which I quite agree). But honestly I still hate SG PT too especially if the population is gonna increase and all the gov is gonna do is to build those lousy MCS.
You want a car, save up for it.
I don't like PTs either but do I have a choice? cars here =/= like in the UK and US, so damn cheap about 50K in our currency to be honest I would want one but I can't.
Or the COE drops big time which I don't see it happen, for now.

All I am saying is if you hate public transport in Singapore, you cannot survive anywhere else in the world. That's the fact.

I disagree.
Anywhere else? Please prove your sweeping statement.
I had had less trouble with the PT system in HK than in SG.
And are you sure it's a fact?
SG PT may be good, but it's not the best you know. DEFINITELY not the best at all.
That's like saying if you hate toami gyo, you cannot be a good tennis player.

You must be one of those gullible sheeps who takes everything heard from the the government as a fact. I am not here to start a political fight, it is extremely childish and will get us nowhere.
"if you hate public transport in Singapore, you cannot survive anywhere else in the world. " shows your immaturity and prehaps, too much of the 'goodie' advice from people, which are, "If you cannot stop people from bullying you in school, you cannot survive in the real world. Transfer also doesn't work. You are the problem."
Have you heard of an idea name "adaptability"? That is that we change ourselves to better suit the enviornment. In UK, it is cheaper for you to get a car compared to Singapore, so ditch the PT and get the car.
BTW, the crowd is horrible especially during peak hours on the train. Stand near the door and you become a sardine. Stand in the middle of the carriage and have difficultly walking out. Every train ride is so frustrating and stressful.
5.5m now and counting, another 1.4m coming and how many more buses, trains and roads does sg need later?
People are the cause of the problems. Singapore is one screwed up society, where people from all levels (Passengers to BCs to bus enthuasists to decision makers) enjoy driving other people up the wall.
Your encounters on the public transport system and even within this community itself are very good examples.

Just because I hate it doesn't mean I have to walk or buy a car. The distance is ridiculous. I can't walk.
I'm a poorass chap.
I can't afford a car.
I'm just telling you guys why I hate it, just because im QQing about it doesn't mean I can't tolerate it. I can tolerate it. I can go through a certain degree of shit but it doesn't mean I can't continue taking public bus transport.
Please, don't misunderstand.

1) I don't know for you, but when bus 75 or 184 leaves from Bukit Panjang Interchange at my area, TON of Ngee Ann students board it and I can tell you from my observation, the broken record is mildly effective. Stubborn students continue to stand there not moving in at all. It barely works IMHO. This is opinionated based, you might think its very effective around your area, but as far as I'm concerned, in my routined-based bus taking I do nearly daily, it barely does.
2) Bro. Run for the bus? What are you talking about? I stand at the bus stop waiting for the bus and I see at times , 4 or 5 of them flash past across me with fully boarded passengers. Walking to the previous bus-stop doesn't help. 75 and 184, being the fully boarded buses during peak hours for Ngee Ann students , doesn't really help when you walk to the previous bus stops. I can tell you, even walking 2 previous bus stops won't help either.
3) From what I know , I'm not telling passengers to squeeze like freaking sardines trapped in a can. I'm telling you to move to a level where you're still able to have some personal space. This creates a fair treatment for other passengers to board. Yes, you may have your sketchbook blablabla and stuff , you might find difficulty, but I'm sure most bus captains would allow you to alight before they move off, don't they?
^ I did make reference to the videos I made, so pardon me if you didn't understand any of the context. Also, this is not personal. I'm stating my opinion. Please do not take it as a form of personal attack! I greatly appreciate discussion. Thank you. :)
Cheers!

I'm merely kidding when I told him to buy me a car. I'm appalled at how serious you took a passing remark meant as a subtle joke so seriously. I am an able-bodied guy able to work for myself and earn a car myself. I don't need anyone to buy a car for me.
