Can't they find other letters than W and B for their depots. Bulim Depot will be BLDEP. Then you have BNDEP and BBDEP.
And BRBP!
Although 'Bulim' might sounds awful to some but that site used to be Bulim Chinese Cemetery in the past so there should be some 'historical elements' in the name change of the road.
*palm face*
why not just call it Jurong West bus depot?
problem solved.

I prefer that name to the other two... At least you can identify with it.
the land at the other end of bulim ave is now sandy & flattened already (as compared to forested area last time when i update here). the land very big.
tipper trucks still continue to in & out of bulim ave

I am going to miss seeing those trees... and that forest at the expressways flyover... when it is entirely cleared for human development.
My juniors (especially those having lessons at classrooms nearer to the science block and further away from the back gate) at Westwood Secondary School will no longer have the scenic view right outside the window already... haiz. :(
at least now still got "desert" (piles of sand from nearby plant nursery) to see... imagine next time when (if) Westwood has Indoor Sports Hall and so on... and when the Wenya/Bulim area is developed....the view surrounding Westwood Secondary School will be different.
I think the closest resemblance (in Jurong West) to the view that Westwood people will most probably see when they look outside from the campus in future is the view that people at Juying Primary School currently see when they look outside their campus: landed houses, factories, HDB, etc.
well, this is random. :/

Bulim area had their trees cleared, and the former road cleared to make way for the new developments.
Here is the updated one in red =)
Went for a morning jog just now haha
Original post from me
Ever wondered how's Wenya Ave (Bulim Ave) looks like?
ok... I went for a jog this evening. this is what i can describe here (though i got take photos)
1)When u go straight, u will see a left T-junction (---|), which is also wenya ave (now Bulim Ave). that short road is only 60 metres & it makes the P-loop (P)
2) the next junction is a T- junction. turn left is Wenya St (now Bulim St). Wenya St (Bulim St) is about 150 metres before making a inverted P-loop (q). on the left side of the loop is a building (no name) (now, the name of the building is Kintetsu World Express (S) Pte Ltd ; 27 Bulim St Spore 649175). At this end of the loop, it's facing diagonally the junction of jurong west st 22/25 & ave 3. [when facing that junction, that loop is at a north-east direction]. Take 185 twrds buona vista & u can see the loop
3)turn right from wenya ave (Bulim Ave) is a gravel/soiled road, where tipper trucks go in & out to a deep forested area that is now being cleared. hmm, wenya depot? haha. that land is still under clearing though (it's now a sandy area with tipper trucks in & out, carrying soil out from the area as the land is very hilly. need some time to make it a clear flat land)
but i never see any proposed plan (usually a board in white background, typical board to state a project) (till now never see any proposed plan board)

at the junction of Jurong West Avenue 2, Corporation Road, and Bulim Avenue!
the first inner road (that just goes West and conclude with a roundabout) is also called Bulim Avenue.
the second inner road - which concludes with a roundabout near the end of Jurong West Avenue 3 - is called Bulim Street!
actually, I wonder why the Government does not want to just extend Jurong West Avenue 3 to here - which would make the area more accessible to Jurong West Extension town, since Jurong West Avenue 5/3 is the minor arterial road of the town.
The only completed development in Bulim at this moment - Kintetsu World Express (S) Pte Ltd !
and now, the main course - the new bus depot!
These pictures were taken on 29 March 2014, between 1:15pm to 1:39pm.

to some extent, the section of Bulim Avenue (after Bulim Street) resembles Jurong West Avenue 4 (towards Pioneer Road North) - also a road that slopes at a gradient, although the gradient here would smaller than that over at Jurong West Avenue 4.
It seems that in this second phase of construction of road infrastructure in Bulim, the purpose is just for the bus depot to be developed.
The remaining section of Bulim Avenue will be constructed, along with the first section of Bulim Drive - to allow for the developement of the new bus depot.
I think only the section of Bulim Drive that is required for development of the new bus depot will be constructed.
I think the other section of Bulim Drive will only be constructed in future, when the road alignment is finalised.
According to the plan released by the Housing & Development Board (HDB) when they released a site at Westwood Avenue for developement of Executive Condominium Housing, it seems that there will nolonger be a junction next to the existing compound of Westwood Secondary School - where, according to the Masterplan, Wenya Drive (Bulim Drive) and Jalan Bahar were supposed to intersect - even though there are provisions for it.
I guess the plan now is for the western section of Wenya Drive (Bulim Drive) to be re-aligned to slightly northwards to the future boundary of Westwood Secondary School, north of the future Indoor Sports Hall.
I doubt the alignment of Wenya Drive (Bulim Drive) is still the same and has been shortened to just end at the intersection with Jurong West Street 25, because just one minor arterial road (Bulim Avenue) is not enough to serve the anticipated high traffic in the future industrial area. There definitely has to be at least two minor arterial roads connecting the industrial area to major arterial roads. So I guess there will still be an intersection of Wenya Drive (Bulim Drive) with Jalan Bahar, only that it will be re-aligned northwards to accomodate the expansion of Westwood Secondary School's compound and WWSS's upgrading.
but then again, this may not be true. I am only speculating.
