For example, if 30 goes under SMRT and uses WEDEP, it cannot use buses from BNDEP, since it under SBS Transit. SMRT BCs from AMDEP have to drive to Bedok Int/Boon Lay Int, which is a quite long distance away... If Boon Lay go under SMRT, then it also have to burden the BCs to do all the 31 services serving Boon Lay... Even if SMRT takes majority of Boon Lay services, surely SBS Transit can still keep some services and use SLBP?
I think SMRT should make use of 869 going to LEGOLAND Malaysia for their Wenya Bus Depot.
Why must from Amdep go to Boon Lay?63 already prove Bndep can go all the way to Rumah Tinggi. Its the deployment not necessary distance

If BBDEP take over Jurong and SMRT take over Boon Lay, what is SLBP for? A Super Lousy Bus Park?
No way la Boon Lay under SMRT,The most Joo koon is shared bewteen those two operators if more svc starts from there.Should built a big multi storey depot along Bukit Merah area and replace Ayer Rajah.BBDEP can concentrate Clementi/Buona Vista/Kent Ridge while the new depot control Bukit Merah/Harbourfront/Shenton Way/Marina & New Bridge Rd.

Maybe have a Keppel (Road) Depot? Because Jalan Bukit Merah is quite a high traffic zone... Keppel Depot should be near the old railway station...

Not a good location to have a depot there.

Can demolish the railway stn (but not really a good idea though, becuz that can be a history of SG), then construct the DEP at that location

SBST already made CGBP and now LYDEP. How many more depots do you want SBST to build? -.-

Multi storey is good, though it may result in poorer bus maintenance quality and a substantial consumption of fuel (while going up and up for lots).
If got multi storey then NSEW each only need one only, for example if WLDEP multi storey, then WLBP and KJDEP can close shop, likewise to other areas.
In response to one of the users here, if you want a shared depot between the two PTOs, a viable method is to combine both PTO's AMDEP's land and build a shared multi storey building throughout the two boundaries.
Imho should close down Wldep built a 3 storey dd friendly ones.Amdep should follow suit.

Compare the fuel to go one level up to the saving in land, which is super expensive.
For Bndep case its bo bian liao cause too many buses and services thus the need for Bus park for supplement.Sldep so far so good with its 5 storeys that can easily hold 510 buses.Ayer rajah got development plans so sooner or later have to shift out.Bbdep mainly for Clementi/Kent Ridge and cross border svcs anymore of that it also face parking issues.SMRT depot mistakes is that bus plus,PA buses and other Singtel/SPF vehicles also park there thus making it more worse.Yishun is good enough for parking but Lorong 1 is just too overkill.Either shift to a new depot or built a bus parking area opp the depot which can hold 200buses.Wenya should be ok since its stated to hold 500 buses.Wldep/Wlbp not much problem only height restriction for DDs at the ground floor.
I suspect BPJ may return to SBST control when DTL starts running since SBST owns the line, as with NEL and SKG-PGL route groups. If that happens, SMB may demand that BNL be given them in copensation.
If that happens, it would be better if SBST retain control of SLBP minority-controlled (or non-controlled like 198) routes. 79 can also stay with SBST since it is based @ JUE.

demand?? SMRT will be more than happy to give all the bus routes to SBST if they continue to bleed money.....

Go up and down storeys dunnid fuel?! Climbing slopes not much fuel consumed?!
sometimes I also dunno what to say about u...

If that's your definition of multi storey I have nothing to say.
I refer to HK's multi storey depots, and several BCs tell me some buses have to go up to four storeys high and down again, wasting fuel. What's more, if a bus break down on the slope it's gg for the buses.
You do know land value near CBD area are all very valuable.. Do you think SLA will allow LTA to build a freaking bus depot there? SLA will be more than interested to build shopping malls and commercial stuff on that piece of land instead on a bus depot.
