Yes!!!
who will run the operating cost, installation charges?
if the connection bad, blame who?
Good to have, but the bus companies will have alot alot alot more issues to deal with... which I think they rather not do with it since the cons out-weigh the pros...
rber tt tupid tv thing on the bus?
how good the reception?
Taipei has it.
cannot like tat say...
The teebee thingy is a scheme to draw more revenue from advertisements. but of coz the content and reception sooo bad until it became a waste of investment money...
as for free wifi, it's will become added service. but u imagine the company spending millions to get expertise and outfit the fleets, just to end up having complains everyday about signal not good, laggy etc etc. wah, like tat rather not do with it...
according to experience with wireless@sg, by the time u get connected, u can alight liao
might as well, ask bus companies install individual screens like airplane seats like that? and got stewardess provide drink and food?
Maybe a few long-ranged buses should have them. Like those on svc 51.

That will be cool! But what if the bus go to feeder leh? Still no point but I agree to having drinks in buses. Maybe have a small vending machine payable by ur ezlink card to pay for price if u want? Lol
And why not have a small 711 also in them? So people can buy some essentials also on board with ezlink card.
good to have. esp. for tourists.
GoKL pink buses have WiFi.
had a good time commuting from KLCC to Bukit Bintang.
I had used my Nokia N95 surfing the net on SBS Transit Bus sometimes in 2008.
Hm.. I found the news article http://internetsiao.com/free-wifi-access-on-sbs-buses/
Nokia has teamed up with SBS Transit to offer free WiFi access on the bus. Connected via the cellular HSDPA network, the buses act like mobile hotspots for users to access the internet during their commute.
This is the first in the world for buses to provide wireless access for commuters. There is no need to sign up for anything to use the service. If you happen to be riding in one of these buses, you’ll be able to log on to the unsecured wireless network provided. There are 12 buses on 12 different routes offering this service.
There is a photo of the SBS bus with the advertisement "Hop on this bus and start surfing - Nokia Wifi zone"
Anyone can help to identify the model and make of the bus in the photo ?
Yes.

Volvo B9TL. There are some B10TL Super Olympians involved too. Actually the TV units still exist on those buses that were fitted with it, and it looks like this:

i think all buses should have an accurate IRIS or next bus-stop display system
currently, SBS's dont have a screen displayng next stop.
both companies IRIS/ next bus arrival system is still very inaccurate
worse than many 3rd world countries systems
