Quite far from yishun MRT. They should divert the feeder / intra town services such that it does Yishun MRT for convenience of passengers. Services such as 800, 804, 806, 860 at least.
On a good note, Yishun development plan is here :)

I don't see the need of doing so.
Firstly if you really look at it there isn't a very significant difference in distance from the MRT for the temp int. Since the only way to get through there from the MRT is to use the underpass to Northpoint mall, commuters still have to get to either int via the mall. Just a difference of direction.
Secondly, the commuters won't be really affected. As you have said, the feeders and Intratowns. So it is a really common routine that those staying in the other neighbourhoods will have to first do all their chores and grocery shopping etc. So maybe the temp interchange is even better location since according to the map the int is is in an exact straight line as the MRT and mall. So it's just a one-stop service to all.
So.. Where do you think is the need now? :)
would some trunk routes to be modified to ply Yishun Central and Yishun Central 1 instead of Yishun Ave 2, would affect 858, 965, 969 and 169 in one direction

Doubt so. Since there aren't any bus stops for these services there except for the near the Yishun Central/Yishun Ave 2 junction there.
Can expect sv 39 to get DDs now. Might start with 2 and go up to 6 DDs once the temp int is operational.

I do not agree to that.
We have to justify and find out the reason behind 39's occasional yet disastrous peak hour load. Slow speed, frequent delays and messy schedule plays a huge part in this. So if you wanna add in DDs to svc 39 you are just wasting buses and just throwing more resources down the well.
Let me tell you that 39 is NOT crowded. Given perfect operation status in the peak hours it has trouble even filling up its KUBs. I've seen it. And when it's crowded it's almost always because the buses come in a crazy 16-23 mins frequency. Svc 969 also adds up to the competition. 2 DDs is alr out of the qns, leave alone 6. The most I have seen durning normal peak hours without delays is a KUB with pax standing near the entrance. But not to the entrance doors. If DDs were there it would have been even less.
But who knows? BSEP IS confusing. If 119 can get them, maybe 39 could. But for what I see now, DDs on 39 may not come true for this while now.
I heard Amdep will get new depot next year, hmm

Much needed.
Good! Cant depend on WLDEP too much when service as far as Marine Parade and CGA are WLDEP controlled
just found out some interesting facts.. temp interchange have around 21 parking slots for bendies buses.... the new interchange have only 13 parking slots for bendies buses... this clearly highlight the direction of the future bus fleets of SMRT...

next year? so where will it be located? so SMRT wasted their money to renovate the building in AMDEP earlier this year?

are they really going for rigids
or the bendies going to be parked in depots instead of bus parks?

They really need dd, rigids is not going to work for SMRT unless Singapore's population is dwindling.
If they are going for rigids I rather they exit the bus business in 2016 and hopefully be taken by some other operators with better decision making.

Dunno le bro, I heard only and little doubt its true or not, Anyway Amdep useless la cannot fit to call depot due to its puny size, To make matter worst bendy park close to one another

LTA needs to intervene. Just adding SDs is not helping SMRT nor the people.

yeah since they are literally spamming all the A22 into svcs like 961, 966.
854 with A22s
SMRT always come out with tons of "weird" patterns. just hope that LTA and HDB builds it with higher so that the DDs can be considered.
