Service 179A under operated?

  Official... SLBP no one operating 179A during PM peak... 179A only starts from 27231.. End up disaster... It takes > 20 mins for S179 to get from NTU North Spine to Pioneer Stn. Simply because bus has to stop, let ppl alight, trying to get ppl to move in further for more to board... In fact 179 is over-operated because thks to the delay, more 179A duties pull over to 179 to plug the so called lambat. PM peak hr freq not 5 - 7 mins, it's 4 mins in fact... Woot.. SBST's SLBP can go violate LTA's BSEP QoS.... totally refuse to operate 179A that's sanctioned by LTA to be operated...

  My suggestion is that you raise the matter directly with LTA. That is all I can say.

  You always seem to complain about sv 179A and launch topics on this every 6 months.  What do you think is the reason that they underoperate 179A? And I am asking this because I see sv 179 at Pioneer operated at a whooping frequency of 03-04 mins.

  There are more 179A buses than non-A buses pls. I know because I live beside this service and I always see many A buses pass me by at the bus stop. In fact, there's always 2 to 3 A buses before a non-A bus arrives. And the earliest A bus starts running as early as 2.50pm and ends as late as 8pm.

  Actually I would say 179 over operated during off-peak hrs. Especially during weekends.

  Yes even I feel that sv 179/179A seem to be operated at optimum levels. At least, whenever I have observed at Pioneer, can see so many buses coming at 03 min intervals + 179A buses zoom by. Not all of them have many pax - some have 70-80 pax, some have 30-40 pax.

  The best service on Sat. Buses come in 2 to 6 min intervals and no bus is ever crowded.
