If its totally cancel then I sense 200 DDs on the way

Bendies served them no good... They should try the DD option and park them at WLBP and KJDEP. Anyway, most AMDEP services have gone to WLDEP / WLBP in the recent past.

eh sia la 2601 you went into one of the noblest of professions?
respect
Nope.
I am only in the tuition industry, and have been teaching for 4 years, as a side job, to feed myself through university.
Not my actual profession and having a far-from-enjoyable experience at the moment. This will also be my final couple of months teaching.
My actual specialisation is something else I take far greater pride and interest in.
Teaching sure is noble to me too.
But the main reason is more because I think teachers are taking on a nigh-on impossible task of educating kids these days.
Hats off to them anyway!
Great for you then Mr 2601D,Why don't you try law instead? My bro in law speak exactly like you and he is lawyer to be soon after he's complete the 3 years attachment in uk.You got potential.
Oh ya SMRT soon will have mass revamp of its bus operation and I've heard that the A24 orders probably will be cancelled.I couldn't continue much and see what improvement they will make but more or less they will copy SBST style of operation.

Might as well scrap the A24 and get better high capacity buses.

Not hating on bendies but why only have ONE needle(A24 in this case) in a haystack. Demo unit oso, so no reason for another PTC to take over. So yes, scrap it. TIB bendies are good enough... + Another thing, it's GM B'works. Not as good compared to German manufacturers.
Since Germany has good buses like Mercedes, MAN and Citaro, you can find them in a lot of places in Germany. So no intimidation. Doesn't mean that SG own bodywork is good. It's worser than GM.

Wide? I Don't Think so leh..
And how's your "chaos" of Woodlands like then?
Anyway, the headways for 911 is about 4-5mins per bus just now~[After 7]So it's really up to the driver also.

Those were rumours. Even if it's from the Thomas guy, I still think that is also a rumour. And if they did order, given the new CEO and situation, they will only order less than 200[roughly]

If they change to DD, WLDEP can't even support, if maintenance need to jack up the bus, how? Height restriction at the maintenance bays... WLBP is just like parking only, furthurmore WLDEP does major repairs, give KJDEP repair, can't repair also die...

SBST bus ops loss: $3m…
Why 900 buses lose more than 3200 buses?Smrt use jet fuel is it?
Oh by the way Mr 1234,Wldep height limit is 4.32m and modern DDs like E500 MMC is 4.23m and Bustech CDI 12.5m is 4.24m so you think possible?Wlbp and Cgbp can always have a pump island and at least a automatic bus wash.Wydep IMHO should be DD friendly and probably Amdep replacement also DD friendly?

Even if can, but jacking up the bus will still hit the building mah...

Scrap for what. It can be well used on 913. And at the same time signify bendies once roamed (and clogged) Singapore streets. One only you also dont want.

900 buses lose more $$ than 3000? Must be the high mileage incurred from too much dead runs.
Hmm, QLD got DD on route service? Good on them. Anyway, the Calabros seem like a better fleet operator than SMB.
The problems with SMB date back at least 12 years, when the white-suited reject from Potong Pasir decided that SBS should run NEL subway, and that Tibs should go under SMRT. Although then-Tibs management did make some questionable decisions with respect to procurement, they did an overall good job considering the company had been in business for at least 15 years.

Bendies make good mobile home/office. Living quarters can be at the trailer section, while office can take up the front. Ideal for those who live life on the go.
A pity SG has no caravan parks or these converted units will certainly turn heads.

Dead topic? No more opinions?
