SMRT giving up bus operation soon?

  There's a hint that probably they will close shops somewhere in 15-16.So any other companies take over or simply SBST will take all?Wldep and Amdep will have to go renovate to accommodate DDs if this happen

  Shops? He trying to say that SMRT is not going to be controlling buses anymore around 15/16. Close shops is a way to describe it

  I hope sBST takes over SMRT... at least you are assured of credible bus operations and services and better services between SMRT and SBST towns.

  I would rather now SMRT focusing on MRT's operation...Why not TIBS comeback again?

  If SBST takes over, well i have nothing to say but if to say SBST is to trade with all their MRT lines to SMRT...SMRT should really focus on the MRT operation.

  I hope other credible operators will take Bt Panjang,Woodlands,Yishun and Sembawang but of course those link with Temasek Holdings.SBST take over Bt Batok and Choa Chu Kang.61,106,189,945 all welcome to use DDs.172,188,190,300,302 all use DDs also.If this really happen Mr Sbst275 will be the most happiest person in Singapore

  Yes, hope SBST can take back CCK and BBT. Hope the others can end up in the hands of some credible operators (maybe TIBS). What is the hint BTW?

  Remember, SMRT bought TIBS. So TIBS can never come back unless they sell. Or do a branding under SMRT and make a seperate division called (SMRT) Trans Island

  SMRT may well sell TIBS if they wanna quit doing buses. Then TIBS can run on its own.

  Me as well... I cannot wait to see DDs on 106, 188, 189, 190... It will be so much better... Just the other day bendies on 106 and 189 at Clementi MRT stop used up all the space around the bus bay forming this huge long queue of buses on Commonwealth road causing traffic jam.

  I was so irritated with the SLs that they took so much time to remove the bus out waiting for every passenger who was running or waving towards the bus ignoring that there is a huge train of buses waiting behind.

  U can't blame the SLs cause its part of their work.Blame SMRT for insist on using bendies in sg roads

  Bendies are actually useful in SG if used on the correct services.

  TIBS? that previous owner already make lots of money selling his 41% stake in TIBS.. why would he want to buy back the bus operations which are losing money?

  Which is why I hope SBST won't take over the entire Singapore bus fleet. Leave Woodlands Sembawang and Yishun to others. Then the bendies can be used in Intratown and feeder services. Coz when SBST take over entire Singapore it just allows them to make changes and slack like nobody's business.

  No point,Cause in the long run sg already over populated.We've seen DDs on 222,225,240,241,242,285,291,293,334 and gradually all are successful.Why abuse the newer buses under SMRT absurb maintenance?Seriously I've enough of SMRT buses nonsense..

  Bro if they make changes for everyone benefits I dun mind at all.We all give SMRT a dozen of times but still no change.Buy powerful buses also no point,Under maintenance,Crappy bus condition,Shortage of parking spaces.If they really interested in buying high capacity buses why not they buy now?SBST already got more than 500 newer DDs never mind they look boring as long there's efficient bus timings

  My wish :

  SBS Transit / SMRT >> LTA
  Reason : Since both the operators aren't 100% reliable, it's time that we see the govt. do the job instead~ Rather than standing there observe, shoot fines like shooting darts, might as well go do the job.

  OR

  All SBS Transit / SMRT Premium svc >> Private operators
  SMRT 61/67/190/188 >> SBS Transit
  SBS Transit 160/170/Some intratowns >> SMRT

  Anyway, it's just some suggestions~ The commuters won't be bothered also  It's an expected and common scene. You can start your own operators if you're having eye sore about it. I don't see a point of changing bendy to DDs when Singapore is still increasing.
