Thanks, I know already.
Wonder if the bus will be fixed. Wonderful bus it is. Very cooling air con and great acceleration.
It was on 700 right?
in b4 sbst275 and his "kids these days"
so saying is got ghost ?
its so clear what happen in the photo.
hit berb at a certain speed and the bus overturn.
on the road is like that one. you mis concentration a little that's it.
From Xin Ming: bus driver is a PRC and the victim is an indian malaysian
This is such a very rare case. SBST/SMRT buses normally crash or burn not overturn. I wonder how the SL drive till like that. I took 700 and 966 on that area before, I dont see how the SL can skid and overturn. SL sleepy ah?
Maybe the driver was talking to somebody?
Maybe the road got problem?
Anyway, stop blaming the PRCs~ Some PRCs drive better than the Malaysians/Locals...
Last overturning accident..
sg is no longer as safe as in the yesteryears
behind the wheels, the chances of getting banged by other vehicles has risen
in the bus/taxis, the chances of them overturning/catching fire has risen
on the streets, the chances of getting bashed by a lunatic has risen
the chances of getting involved in a road rage has risen
the chances of getting cancer in sg has also risen when compared to the 60s and 70s
suicide rates are at all time high

No. he had enough rest to concentrate.
it should be due to other factors leading to it.

Yeah. We cant tell also
Many factors,Remember sg car drivers like to speed then suddenly change lane inches in front of buses as they think bus drivers can't bang them or what.So in order to bang the car the BC swerve then mishap happens.Seen a lot taxis love to do stunt in front of public buses. One of the reason why SBST and SMRT install CCTV
Ya PRCs sometimes driving quite good. Maybe one car cut infront of the bus. Dont think SMRT will repair because bus going for scrap soon.Originally posted by SMB66X:Maybe the driver was talking to somebody?

News report:
The bus driver was interviewed, saying that the accelerator jammed. He tried braking 4 times, but failed...
So, if based on his clean record, it might be possible he's telling the truth and might not be at fault...

If this is true it just shows how impoverished SMRT's bus maintenance is. Look, now it's faulty parts claimed an innocent life. If this is true then SMRT gonna have to pay big time.

so do u expect SMRT or SBST to do inspection on every bus before they start operation? not possible right? further, the bus was travelling fine for 1hr 57 min..... anything can happen to these mechanical parts suddenly....
