The Scania K230UB!
Info from BIS most reliable page on Singapore Buses~
I used to think China-made buses were ok.
Until I saw the designated life-span and materials used. Just one word passed my mind: RUBBISH
Not to mention that various major components weren't exactly developed there anyway.
But for those who think China can't reinvent itself, think of the Japanese experience post-war.

Think they need at least another 3-4 years,For now most private operators prefer China buses with Cummins or Scania engines

much agree + vibrasive as well + 1st class lousy suspension not a good comfort & overall receipe @ all !
Genting Bhd also buys these junks unfortunately but at least theirs are the higher end 6-cylinder models with more of original Scania flavor from the 114 era. Also the engine fan related noise is extremely loud instrusive (loud even @ front axle region in high floor model !)...certainly not the best bus/coach chassis nowadays..it never was anyway.

Good as in copying mainly the looks aspects of the European marques but upon closer scutiny of the details..they simply do not measure up to the same overall standards. Like a Cherry, Geely car..from a distance looks somewhat impres
sive but take a ride see it closer then it becomes obvious the standard is inferior to the established premium European brands. Of course i understand price not the same levels so that 'justifies' whatever the shortcomings ?

Shut up and stop using that bastard's face.
I would hope SBST consider the new Euro IV Volvo B8RLE.SMRT should trial the new Hino Low entry buses with rating of Euro V like the causeway link ones.

Nuff said SBST should buy another 150 units of Volvo B8RLEs
SMRT should trial Scania citywide LE with 280hp ratings and buy 100 units if successful
I've seen many people trip and fall on the bus because the drivers always speeds over very fast. We should have more competent drivers..
I feel drivers should not floor the accelerate after picking up pax unless all are seated or moving from traffic lights
Especially old pax, speaking of this, I will say that most SMRT will wait for pax to sit down first.

Gordon Ramsay is a expert in cooking, he isn't a bus grader. So stop your shit.
