Tampines int again...how many more svcs can this place fit?
Tot this was the non-BSEP svc SBST had mentioned in its press release...
maybe SBST tell LTA that they are losing money... so just introduce as BSEP loh.. we shall see what rego plates the buses are using loh..
I really hope Sv 8 can extend to Pasir Ris
SBST bo lui alr?
You forgot add in 141...
Sad that this svc never cater to Simei ITE students.

141 another thread ba... I didn't even know of this svc when I created this thread. Moreover, I don't really frequent the central area as much as I do in the east, so I can't really know the new service 141 in this matter of time. Sorry bout that.
Yeah did hope it can ply ITE College East... 31 is getting worse these days, along with its terrible schedule and downroute timings. What I REALLY hoped is this svc ply PSR int instead... A very wrong choice for it to ply Tampines Int as there is alr svcs like 4, 31, 37 and 38. Makes svc 20 a bit redundant. Could've been better if they can let it follow svc 15's route to PSR. That way, Tampines int no need so crowded, PSR residents gets svc to CBP, AND Tampines residents still get to take svc 20 in Tampines Central.
People around Tampines kept complaining about 31 being stuffed full of ITE Students.
What can the ITE Students do? It's not like they have an MRT station near their ITE [ Closest is Expo and it is pretty far away ] and the only direct svc is 31.
I still do not get how SBST/LTA plan their routes.
Look at Central ITE.
It has 45, 50, 72, 72A, 72B, 88, 88A, 88B, 159, 159B.
It has 10 services to alleviate the morning crowd.
How about Simei ITE?
31, 31A.
Pathetic.

The AMK ITE, the basic services all come from different directions. What talking you, if you are referring to "sharing the load"?

I know you mentioned this many times before, but why do you want this? There is svc 15 to Tampines Ave 1 from PSR and there is 15, 21, 58 from PSR to Kaki Bukit, Bedok Reservoir.
So, I don't see the reason why svc 8 should be extended to Pasir Ris when it will break the link between Tampines Ave 7 and Tampines Ave 1, and there are many students who take this service for Temasek.

Sorry, how does svc 4 and 37 make svc 20 redundant? There is not even one common stop apart from the starting point.
This route connects the whole Simei town with Tampines Ave 2 and Tampines Ave 5, where there is no route today. You have to take 38 that does not have a good frequency to Tampines CC and then change to 34 or 39.
What they could have done is extended it to PSR via Tampines Ave 6, 9 and then express to PSR.

Simei ITE might be having only 31 and 31A, but just a short walk and you have # 12, 35, 38 to Tanah Merah as well.
Walk down the road, and you also have svc 2, 9, 10, 17, 48 - so it is not like ITE Simei has no other service apart from 31.
For ITE AMK also, if you want to take svc 45 you need to walk to AMK Ave 10 bus stop.

Similarly ITE Simei has 9 services plying around. More than CCK, Yishun.

When it rains, only 31/31A is available.
You can complaint to LTA. And it's not affecting you at all, right? So why whine?

You don't know my sister studies in it?
Idk. Ask her bring umbrella if rain lor. If not ask her complaint to LTA lor.

I think SBST should have a 31M service to operate whole day looping between tampines and Tanah Merah mrt station.

If sv8 extend to Pasir Ris, then we can see more new bus services in Tampines Int.
Hmm...How about a service to Sengkang West?
