Reckless bus enthusiasts at New Bridge Road spotted

STOMPer Ng was concerned for the safety of photographers who squatted at a bus interchange zebra crossing to take photos of vehicles.
He was also worried for the safety of pedestrians who hesitated when crossing so as not to block the photographers.
The STOMPer saw the incident over the weekend near the New Bridge Road bus terminal at Outram Park.
He said in an email to STOMP:
"These photographers were risking their safety by squatting at the kerb of a bus interchange exit where buses turned out frequently.
"I was crossing the bridge after visiting Cantonment Police Complex to head to the MRT station, when I spotted the group of youths with DSLR cameras gathering at the island between two crossings (zebra crossing of the interchange and the pedestrian crossing).
"I noted that they were crouching down and seemed to be photographing vehicles exiting the interchange.
"However, they were not aware that there were pedestrians looking at them and wanting to cross the zebra crossing and they slowed down their pace to wait for the group to finish taking their photographs.
"They inconvenienced the pedestrians, as should the pedestrians walk behind the group of photographers, it would expose them to the dangers of oncoming traffic.
"Neither could they cross in front of the group, as they'll be cutting across the photographers view.
"The man in the photo behind the lamp post was standing there waiting for them to finish before crossing the road.
"Could the LTA and traffic police look into this kind of behaviour and educate the public about road safety?" -

Edwin Teo Kim Leong shared Stomp Straits Times's photo.
Whenever a "New Bus " come into service, these guys will always be there at the various routes that this new bus service. They only care about themselves and their photographs. In this instance, it is the new Bendy bus deployed by SMRT..SMB388S.

due to last time some f*ked up kids targetting others, go anyhow create stomp posts and shit, now end up influence public think bus fans are creating trouble. Would i believe a group causing the ruckus or believe the one who kena the targetting and attacks, obviously the ones who is being victimised. can read from sgforum posts already.

The kids were taking photos of MAN A24 SMB388S bus.

bus operator have new vehicle launch events..those people like these signal their interest to be invited to attend such events, then all the photo, video taking even engine sound recordings can be convinently done..then post it somewhere where others can look up if they miss the show. i find this way a better arrangement to meet the needs of everybody
