LTA skipped April for BSEP. I am sure there will be a May wave considering the registration of Citaros and B9TLs. Also, many Citaros from previous wave spare, and 1 Wright. Let's see which routes these go on?
not 5th may?
coz most of the SBST services have its ett changed from that date

April there was for SMRT (302, 700/700A, 850E, 981)
I think JIS services might get quite a few upgrades this time around.
the next wave should be 13 May... i think Sv70 is getting another wright (3342) while BRBP have another service (high change is 139) which is getting 3343... or they might be deploying citaro on sv139...

Nice! svc 70 getting one more bus. Good call to deploy Wright. The loading even after capacity increase is quite heavy between YCK Road and Serangoon, though dropped a lot from Serangoon to Shenton Way.
139 getting Wright? Citaro should be. 139 loading just till Jalan Bahagia, quite low after that - manageable by Citaro. I seldom see the 2 DDs on 139 ever full. The only part is where they get well utilized is 139A route.

Just wanted to ask though, since I'm a frequent passenger on 70 and not an expert on bus stuff...
Would it be feasible for one of the SD slots to be upgraded to a DD slot then? What would happen? Able to tank load but less feasible/underused from Serangoon to Shenton Way?

Problem with 70 is very good bi-directional loading between YCK Terminal and Serangoon, drops majorly after Serangoon. Morning peak can have 60-70 pax in direction of Shenton Way near Guillemard Rd.
Hence, the profile of 15 DDs, 13 SDs for 70.

If I am not wrong, 70 had 2 SDs upgraded to DDs just 2 years ago... One of them is the 70/549 crossover (7719R replaced 994H) while the other is 9618K replaced 2808A.

70 had 2 BSEP DD additions in the last 6-8 months, plus I guess one SD fleet add as well.
