The de-registration of Volvo Olympians (2-axle)?

  From the news article above, they say that all volvo 2 axle will retire before april, but it is May already.  Sgwiki said, "All Volvo Olympian 2-Axles shown here are given a 2-years lifespan extension and will be scrapped by May 2013" link: http://sgwiki.com/index.php?title=Volvo_Olympian_2-Axle&diff=227856&oldid=226167and wikipedia said that 2 axle will retired in may 2013 link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SBS_Transit#Buses. However, currently that sentence on sgwiki got removed and it remains on wikipedia.

  I am confused with the trueness of the news about the retirement, are 2 axle volvo going to retire this month or they will retire according their ? But, in the news article it said they will all retire in april but nothing happend. Haved SBST changed their plans?

  The actual deregistration date is between June to Dec this year with 7275D the last VO2x to go on 28 Dec. It all depends on SBST whether they want to phase out all the VO2x at an earlier date.

  After some early de-registrations of the Volvo Olympians in March, currently there isn't any Volvo Olympians lay up or de-registered.

  May I know what many NAC VO2x are still on the road at THIS moment??

  I heard from friends saying those "hotdog" will suffer until June, is this information valid?

  I am not from singapore but just what to know exactly those NAC vo2x doing..(maybe take a short trip sharply this month)

  Any help and comments will be appreciated !

  Thanks for the reply from SBS1929R, your's pages are useful for me =]

  I jus hope those non-air cond Volvo can keep on the road for few more weeks so that I am able to ride on it soon.
