  If u drive or ride try the route from Jurong West Ave 2 using PIE or Jurong Rd towards Bukit Batok and compare from Kranji Rd to BBT and check which is further.

  I think they don't want to confuse as Jurong West is SBST Territory so they have given it a Wenya name as it is on that avenue. Lol.

  That  sub-precinct is known as Wenya...when it was a chinese cemetry years ago....I don't think it is funny. That area is earmarked to be developed into an industrial estate known as Wenya industrial estate

  I don't know why so many non-chinese on facebook took offence of the name without finding out the history of the place.

  It is not like a 2013 thing...Wenya has been used many times to describe that particular area. But because people find it too chinese-sounding, they find fault with it. Some people are just so against the Chinese.

  The undesired effect of using hanyupinyin romanised names. If a dialect translation was used instead this could have been avoided. But then the G doesn't encourage the use of dialect...(anyway the dialect version would sound rather awful i think)

  Fact - replacement WAB bendy buses will probably appear when the MK I retires, and MK I perms 67. 388S is likely going to be successful anyway.

  I think it's compliment but again Kj lease expire next year and the new depot can easily handle 500 buses.

  Relax it's not against we just wanna know how the name came out of sudden..Even Malay road name at Geylang is extinct although our grandparents vividly remember them.

  The road leading to future wenya depot is u/c right now. i thought that road is for the industrial complex. i didnt expect also that it's for the future depot too

  coz according to URA plan, that area suppose to be for HDB housing. got jurong west st 3x plus in the future. hmm, plan cancelled?

  the u/c road suppose to be jurong west ave 3, now wenya ave lol

  that area is also develop for industrial use. saw that white description thingy

  it stated "warehouse complex". got 2 areas

  SHould call that place Hong Kah Depot since it is located in Hong Kah constituency.

  Actual Hong Kah is where Track 22 is...
