I believe its just an April Fools joke
The photo is edited/photoshopped. Firstly, one of the ciruclar yellow marker lights on the left is gone, while it is still seen on the right. Secondly the radiator is gone. Thirdly the bus behind has a typical Volgren/Custom Coaches front. Fourth, the hopper windows has been edited so that it doesn't look so obvious. Fifth, at the place where the SMRT logo is, compare it to a standard Iveco Metro LE bus and you will see a square hole missing, Sixth, the front bumper looks like it have been edited due to slight color inconsistencies. Lastly, custom coaches has been acquired by ADL, though I am not sure if they still produce CB80 bodies.
Though I do hope that it is true lol, it looks quite nice.
Also it looks a bit like a Citaro as Custom Coaches had the Citaro bodywork license from MB, so they probably adapted that style on the CB80 body.
If it true it will be the first italy bus in public service. very nice looking. may be go to 2 tuas crescent VMD PTE LTD or 10 tuas ave 18 goldbell to see whether the new bus is there.

It's not real seriously. Even BIS already admitted it is April Fool Joke.
Btw Iveco (and also DAF) trucks are gaining popularity with local companies. I seen at least 3 companies with Iveco trucks (ABS transportation, Woodlands transport, and another company in Tuas near Joo Koon station). In Europe, Iveco buses and trucks are offered as a cheaper option to other European brands such as MAN, Merc, Scania, Volvo.
humm time will tell but again SMRT always has surprise coming.
