I hear SMRT is in the process of getting DDs by mid-2014 with the opening of Wenya Depot. Can anyone confirm?

Then why on earth he ask 'Can anyone confirm?' If confirm he /might/ know the models...

As I said, we need to confirm this. This was told to me by a friend who has a friend working in LTA. So I need to know how legit this information is.
Bus Duty (Update):
TIB589B = 77AP03

Good job to introduce 55B from 7pm onwards. This will give better frequency to NSL people to AMK Ave 10 (south). Those coming from CBD can alight at Bishan and take 55 to their homes than go to AMK and then 261. Will ease the load on 261 with this move.
AM peak no need because I see people crossing road when they see a 55 coming to take it to Bishan. I think they will have 1 or 2 buses for 55B crossover from 55? Mostly, SDs should be used.
A SBS bus driver who was greeting his passengers (if i'm not wrong Mr Hoy Wan Ling) was seen driving SBS7598Y on 197 today!
More BSEP WEGs spare.
3309S (SLBP SP) was earlier on SLBP 98
3328L (HGDEP SP) was earlier on HGDEP 50
To add to it 3347, 3348, 3349, 3354, 3355 have still not found a perm spot.
Sentosa bus deployments (according to my observations):
Bus 1: RU3718U, PA4144Y, PA5279K
Bus 2: RU3722G, PA4136X, PA5278M
Note: There might be additional (unconfirmed) buses deployed on these services.
Most split shift buses have one permanent driver
Example: 330H,332C,335U of 858 got 1 driver. 1139K got 2 permanent driver. 866B and 1001Z got 1 driver. 1090R,1046U,1061A,1155M also have one perm driver. Others are: 472D,471G of 965, TIB1220H,TIB1077E,TIB1051D,TIB1041H,TIB1171R,TIB995L of 969 and TIB1081S,TIB1094E,TIB1095C,TIB1124C of 169
Yesterday saw a 161 strider on TPE literally empty towards HG, after bunching up with anothe 161 strider up front (which had only <20 pax(

Yeah weekends loading can be quite low especially off peak. Hence, there is a large number of SDs deployed.

For smrt they like to rotate between split and normal buses, sbst on other hand will only rotate if buses are schedule for preventive maintenance..Where got split only 1 perm drivers?966 got 10 perm split drivers and 2 empty duties will be done by standby BCs.
One example svc 853,9 normal duties but only 16 perm BCs with 1 empty duties will be done by standby BCs and 7 splits but only 6 perm split BCs and 1 empty done by standby BCs

Really i always see the same driver driving this buses (330H,332C,335U,1061A,1046U,1090R,520Z,) for AM and PM Split section meaning 1 driver for split shift buses?
Thats true..

Yeah but it's either expressway conditions or schedule problem that makes these bunching and subsequently delays happen, Haiz 161 freq can get a bit erratic sometimes...
Observing sv 116 during PM peak at HCI today
17.48 - 18 pax
18.02 - 21 pax
PM peak noticed none of the queues at HCI are long, but there is a huge crowd of people at the Hougang MRT stop outside HCI. Most of this crowd is for 72 and 101.
Ok lar better than just 10 pax on average mah..The svc is meant for alternatives also

Been more than 1 year since 116 was launched. Pax improved a bit from 14-16 pax boarding at HCI to now 18-21. aM peak though has only 4-5 pax boarding.
What is 3141H doing these days? This is the longest a WEG has remained spare - around 9 months without perming even 1 service. It used to cameo 87 and 161 very frequently but haven't seen it of late running around too much.
2703T also like gone case, no news at all.
9592A i think also gone case. If can repair like 7558M then its a miracle.
BusAnalyzer,do you really get the meaning of what is BSEP? All you care is about the loading. I am not trying to be or act smart but really what can you do? Afterall,it is the government paying

Yes you are trying to act smart. Why were you suggesting route changes to 116? It is BSEP right. So let it be. BSEP is meant to provide more convenience to people and relieve loading in crowded sectors. Let me put some things into perspective.
1. There is no harm in revising some BSEP services if you realize they are not bring as effective as thought during planning the route. Happens. No one is perfect in estimating loading.
2. 116 should have called at the stop outside NEX if it truly meant to relieve loading. On way to Serangoon, people also have alternative with 103, 147. In PM peak, the whole crowd waits at NEX, pushing the capacity to max on services like 43, 70. In fact, some people along Serangoon Nth Ave 1 and 4 also don't mind still taking 315 at NEX as travel time is not significantly higher. 116 PM at stop opp NEX takes less than 20pax. Such a waste when opp side buses are not able to cope with the high loading.
3. You don't need a 116 at HG ave 9 to HG int. There is a 72 with Frequency of 5-6 mins. People along st 91, 93 are the ones who really need more buses. St 91 could get a new stop. 116 could have gone via st 91, st 51 to HG Ave 8 and then Int. This way you would provided higher connectivity. 116 buses go empty to HG int which is a waste when it could have really helped people along the inner streets instead of plying the ave 9/4 that are already pampered with multiple high frequency, DD services.
4. If after a year of launch, you still realize that 116 has not picked up, you should modify the route under BSEP to help more commuters. Is there anything wrong with that?

I'm not going to argue with you on 116. And I'm not trying to act smart and you cannot change the route.Tell me what can you do??? You can only share your idea here but still you cannot change the route
