Full AP fleet DDs, occasionally(and oftenly) SDs are the one spamming on split causing the capacity to drop~~ And yes the svc is non other than 161~
Imagine if there are TV MOBILE on SBS Transit Scanias,Citaros and Wrights,it will be great and awesome

Most of the KMB buses are using Samsung TVs...

Normally splits buses are run mostly by DDs, occasionally there's some SDs taking over(splits) and even AP slot that have higher demand. Unless they are scheduled to depart within 5mins interval(like 168), the SD would suffer.
168's Citaro during 7am/7pm departure in the past wasn't that bad(to Bedok), with the help of 7610 and 9404 that within the <15mins time. But the departure from Bedok at 5pm is the problem.
Ocassionally there will be SD running replace perm fleet cause depot shortage of spare DDs when the perm bus goes for maintenance or simply an outside schedule duty that are drive by standby or EB BCs to just supplement the loads.I myself ever drive a Volvo MK 2 CAC for svc 51.My front bus is a Trident departing 4 mins apart and my behind bus is an Slbp LO that is only 6 mins apart.Just reach North bridge Rd my bus already packed like sardines..Bo bian

How many years back was this?

Around 9 years back when I was in Hgdep then in 06 Bndep,07-08 SMRT Amdep
All SMRT buses (new and old) are now locked at 60km/h due to TIB605M's incident, drivers can no longer de-activate the speed limiter manually. Info from a svc 190 SL. I guess that SMRT has learnt it the hard way, though I admit that fast rides were fun while it lasted.

It was fun while it lasted. Now they go SBST style I guess.

I think it's always locked at 60km/h? But some drivers "fix" it themselves, probably it wasn't done properly.
B10Ms,O405s,DAFs,VOs and VSOs all can manually done by experience BCs but not for newer fleets like B9TLs/Citaros/KUBs/A22s and the OCs.Yes you can make the lower torque powerful but you still need those computerised tooling to tune for higher top speed ie the ECU.WTs/EBs are exception they somehow got connection with technicians for when to unlock or lock.

Is there such thing like "Speed trip" when the bus reaches 60Km/h+ then the bus stops.
Also, I see today BC drive the bus suddenly at bus stop cannot take off. Then he go behind and open engine cover and check. I suspect he accidentaly put on the brake.
Does any car driver spot the picture on the rear of the bus that requests the bus to be given right of way.
It is so irritating at times, when there is a long queue of cars behind and the BC just has to wait on the stop until the full line of car disappears. Just happened to me on sv 88 at Bishan St 22.
Speed locking is when the speedo reach 60 your accelerator already touch the floor and less fuel line supply thus no more power. In some cases engine shut down a while till speedo go back to 59kmh.For Citaros cases some buses locked till 63kmh due to its engine cc and techincal requirement.
Sv 74 has a DD slot converted to SD. Tell me this is a joke!!
30++ pax queuing at 112 berth today at 8.20 pm,need DD buses to cope with the load?

sv 112 can have 40-50 pax while leaving HCI during PM peak, but almost 90% of the pax if not all alight at or before HG Ave 7 after which the loading drops. So KUBs, MK4s are managing the loading perfectly.
AM peak sometimes there can be an issue where pax cannot board the bus at HG Ave 2 towards Kovan MRT. 112 is the only service connecting 2 stops on HG Ave 2 to Kovan. If a 147 has not called stops along HG Ave 8 for a while, some people just take sv 112 to Kovan rather than sv 147 to Serangoon. This might cause 112 to be already full when it turns to HG Ave 2. But it is rare. Anyway, if 112 does not come, people will take 132 to Hougang, as the travel time to both MRT is almost same from HG Ave 2 (may be HG still lesser).
PM peak no such loading issue, so the SDs are just fine for now, IMO.
Sometimes I wonder: How do depots decide which buses to deploy on its services?
For instance: HGDEP has kept 3141, 3257, 3258, 3259 SP but the new WEGs that it received 3602, 3603, 3604 got deployed almost immediately. Why did they not give them to 3257, 58, 59?
Same with BBDEP. It gave 3600, 3605, 3606 to sv 74 as soon as they got them and it took them quite a while to perm 3250, 3251, 3252 on sv 74 though they were registered earlier. And then 3246, 3247, 3248 that were registered a week before 3250 etc. are still SP.
Very confusing how they deploy in the reverse order!!

Not really. The last time I saw TIB756K having speed up to slightly more than 60 though.
TIB535G up to 70km/h. TIB744U speed limiter spoilt.

Apparently the BC was lying. I encountered a few O405s recently that went over 60km/h. Even TIB674M on 858 a few days ago went over 60km/h while overtaking trucks.

I have a feeling that 605M's speed limiter was being messed around with, Which it is why it flipped really hard.
Observed 101 at stop outside Hougang Interchange.
3258E - 53 pax boarded, of course there were already few coming from Kovan/Serangoon, so assuming pax must be 70+ easily.
(after 08 mins) 2675R (i think it was this one coz I was busy counting pax)- 39 pax boarded. From the looks of it, last few people had difficulty to board, so around 30-40 pax must have come from before already.
So clearly, the DDs on 101 seem to be taking the load pretty well atleast from HCI onwards.
