How??? 171 is a Yishun / Mandai Road service, 190 is for BPJ and CCK. Their routes are totally different. Again 190 is an Express service to CBD, though not called express. 171 stops at every bus stop on its way. It is so slow.

Yes This whole parallel to MRT is an eye wash according to me. That too when you deploy SDs on express services instead of Wrights, you are forcing people to take MRT as people would not want to stand in a bus for such a long distance (15-20 kms).

SBST has done a good job with 513E. The loading has improved. Imagine if SDs were deployed. The loading would have never increased as people would not want to stand all the way from Tampines to CBD, especially knowing that ECP can have traffic jams often.

KJ only transfer svc to WL not AM as AM is already packed and AM transfer the AM portion of 169 to WL + some other SPs too
