From 18 March, new service from CCK to CBD. Details as per SMRT website link below:

Yes, the same concept as a peak hour express service.
it's sad that for the same fare, SBSTransit will deploy a Wright whilst SMRT will deploy a MAN.
Tampines residents will sit comfortably and be satisfied with the ride.
CCK residents will squeeze and when they find no improved level of comfort, they will still stick to the trains because it's still a squeeze but faster.
Not going to relieve the 190 Orchard Road crowd.

In the first place, did Express 982E plied Orchard at all?
In the very first place, no one stated it plied Orchard Rd.

SMRT will deploy MAN Lion City G~

Ha ha ha ha... The same thought came to my mind as well - that it does not relieve the 190 load... I thought the new service might ply some stops on Orchard.
982E will take away Red / Green Line passengers, but only 60-65 pax can sit comfortably compared to 513E where 164 pax can sit and travel the long distance.
Really cannot make it lah. The company, LTA and transport minister have failed in their job big time
Remember 971E?No one thought it will deploy bendies. But anyway SMRT should introduce a new basic service from Sembawang.
No enough drivers, still wayang like they can handle and improve a lot of services. pui
All wayang la from top to bottom,If not how can survive in this Island?
hmm, which depot will this service be ? KJ?

Very likely KJ since its CCK and KJ has cleared quite a number of space when 176/700 goes to WL

frankly speaking, by taking away 100pax wont make any difference to the MRT.. the trains are still as crowded cos alway got ppl cant board at all.... no wonder they say can use 250 buses for 40 new services. out of these 40 new services, most likely 20 of them use only 2 buses...

CCK residents still good... got MAN bus.... those jurong west residents might be taking Kinglong, sunlong or higer bus when the new private operated CBD service is launched... and the minister just announced 6 more services will be operated by private operators...

Sembawang only 4 service excluding 981 terminating there. 859 idk how to classify whether its a feeder or trunk. 167 and 980 have 50% routes that are parallel. Bus going east 858 can be an alternative at SBW mrt. SBW to West no bus at all.
do u think the one & only right now the MAN bendy is possible to deploy on this service if the demand picks up?
171 can start from SBW to New bridge Rd

NBR got space? 190 bendies kept occupying the space there when i passed by there
That because those splitters like to come earlier than schedule.Smrt got 6 lots should be enough.

Singapore no need bendy bus at all. Occupy so much space yet can almost fetch the same amount of pax a DD can fetch. SBST bendies not a good lesson for u kiddies?
