Didn't expect this service to be numbered "4". Number 47 would have been a better choice to complement 37.
4 should have been reserved for a future CBD service. Anyway, what's in a number!!
Looking forward to the Changi Business Park service now.
I think the service will have 6 buses. It could be 50% B9TL, 50% Citaro fleet. Though initially, it would make sense to only deploy SDs, and rather give DDs to other needy trunk services, but looking at BSEP trend, I would not be surprised if DDs are plied from Day 2.
Smart move indeed. So far no basic bus svc ply Flora Rd but am peak could be disastrous around there.Looking forward to joyride
Another move by gahmen to wearn off car users to take public tpt, good move!
Acx
this service should help to clear service 31 crowded ITE students and also bad news for short trip taxi driver and PTE premium bus service
Why bad news for them in fact the demand for pte buses and taxis is gradually increase. If not why they yaya bring in new turbo diesel taxis otr?
Whether its 50% loan or 5 years installment there will still ppl buy cars. Some ppl dun like to take buses or trains in reality.Only drop for new car sales that's all.You don't know Singapore huh be it expensive or what they still die die wanna buy.Car tax is one of govt revenues besides tobacco and liquor tax
finally a public bus service for the Flora Rd residents. Everytime see them wait for the S$1.30 shuttle bus by ComfortDelgro in the rain at Tampines 1 so poor thing.
And good that the other side of Changi North is now being served with this new service.
It's a good service!

Sorry, how will this service help to clear ITE student load on svc 31??? Does not have one stop in parallel to 31 except for starting point. I think you got the route wrong!!
The route looks good but would there be any demand during the off-peak hours? Somemore the last bus timing is 11.30 pm, would there be any passengers getting to/fro Changi North Industrial Estate? Perhaps the last bus timing can be adjusted to 7.30 pm like Svc 37, or say 9.30 pm instead. Any later and it probably is a waste of taxpayers' money ...
I think this service can use 6 citaros then during p hours can deploy 2 random bsep wright

At a later date, might introduce SWT 4A after 7.30 pm until Changi Prison for Flora road passengers with may be only 3 buses and frequency of 18-20 mins.

Looking at the trend, I think there will be at least 2 perm Wrights. Though I agree with you, BSEP should launch only Citaros until the loading picks up.

He means that in the first place the route should follow a part of service 31's route before going to Changi North Way to help relieve the ITE students' load.
i think i knw why number 4
coz it calls at changi prison bus-stop (where 2 & 5 plies)
so the number like suitable
then at tampines ave 7 got service 3... so lol
i wonder what's the criteria for the numbering thingy
hmm... the CBP service who knows the number is 1?

so i take 1 from tampines to simei or upp changi rd east, then 2 to changi prison, 4 out to tampines ave 7, then 3 pasir ris, then 6 to loyang and back, then 5 to orchard, then 7 back to bedok, 9 to tampines ave 2, 8 to tampines int, then 10 out of tampines.
hahaha

It is believed to be a match with service 6, which is also an industrial service.

Actually when I heard they're going to number this new service as Sv 4, without checking the details, I kind of predicted that it's serving the Loyang area (turns out I'm right, haha). Because like what some of you mentioned, just look at the services plying that area. There's Sv 2, 3, 5, 6, 9. (Sv 3 serves near Loyang Pt but still.) See the trend? Basically kind of most of all the single-digits (except Sv 7 that is) serve literally in the same area as this Sv 4 (Tamp there's Sv 8)
They could have named it something the Sv 2x to complement Sv 29 but everything in the 20s region have been taken alr isn't it? Just my observation.

20 lor haha.
then 18 19 20 21 22 all suisui around the same area
but 4 is also quite a decent choice
2 3 4 5 6 all around the same area

demand is for Tampines Ave 7 and Flora Rd residents. There might be ppl working night shift in the industrial area as well.

frequency off peak is 15 mins....

Dont think it will be #1. It could be either #20 or in the 40 series. Dont remember if it does Tanah Merah. if yes, then 46 or 47 could be a good number. If it is from Tampines Int, most likely it will be 20.
