There's been the inaccurate nicknaming the retiring SBST Volvo Olympian 2 axles as "hotdogs", the term that has its deep roots from Hong Kong rather than Singapore.
Here's a question - what about the old SBS & TIBS non-aircon buses, are they known as "hotdogs"?
Maybe to some calling them "NAC/non-airconditioned" is supposedly mainstream, but this NAC terming is part of our transport heritage that's uniquely Singapore. The VO2X vehicles is known as "NAC double decker bus" Hoping that the future SG transport heritage don't get corrupted by random fan-term naming just because a term from somewhere else became popular.
From most trusted Singapore bus info source buses[in]gapore!
Then call it Hot Con.
How inaccurate is that? I don't see any wrong in that.
NAC yes it's part of the transport heritage, but will anyone give a damn?
Further more, why is the group talking about this out of a sudden? Nothing better to post? If you ask people to choose, they would prefer hotdog than the word NAC.

anyway who the hell coined the term "superlion" for gemilang A22s?
I would have been interested in this until I read the last line.
the last tine turns me off ...
"Hotdogs" is an informal term to describe non-airconditioned buses. Do you need to address buses formally everytime?
Why can't we just dub the NACs as "Hotdogs"..... rather than making yourself sound like a nerd by calling them "Volvo Olympian 2-Axle" or "VO2x"?
