Wish that people who are standing at the exit doors to be more proactive and look around to see if people around them are trying to squeeze through and alight after the bus stopping bell is pressed - so as to move accordingly. Or if not alighting, move to the rear! =/
SBS Transit need the new MB Citaro 3 Door Euro 6 Bus to solve the problem.

But there might not be any space for the readers to be installed and even if there is, it will cost a lot and will require a lot of system development and maintenance. Also, some of those kiasu aunties out there will just tap and then move back to the front. Or on buses like the citaro, it is easy to tap on the readers without really going to the back.
the driver can open the back door for people at the bus stop to board the bus after tapping EZ card in front. this is what happen for SD service 59 every morning. I wonder LTA going to do something about this service 59 soon? the bus always over loaded by the time it on the expressway.
one better way is to program the reader to tap both enter and exit at the back door for service like 59.
Seats before exit door. Like those found at the London Double Decker and HK tram. Done.
Exit door to be positioned further back, but not so further back until it's so near to the wheels or engine...
