Hey you. 170 has been plying Queen Street for 40 years or so already. If it really jams at Bukit Timah SBS Transit should have already amended it to skip there already!

O405s were sent to KJDEP and AMDEP due to the registrations of MAN NL323Fs in 2012 to replace the Hinos, DAFs and Lances.
950 got its fleet replacement as early as August 2011 while the O405s still remains in WLDEP, even after their re-refurbishments in 2012.
As of today, only 10 out of the many A22s spotted with the Malaysian SPAD stickers have been officially registered with SPAD, and issued with the permits enabling them to operate into Malaysia as regular scheduled stage buses - 260B to 269C.
The SPAD permits of all OC500LEs will not be renewed upon expiry. The 3 perm Volgren O405s permits are still active.
Contrary to what many believe, the Sultan Iskandar CIQ Complex at JB can accommodate full-height double-deckers with ease. There are no so-called height-restrictions that exist. The former epBus passed through the CIQ with its roof intact.

Plus, I don't even think that many people really bother or know about those~ Does it even saves a few cents on the bus fare comparing between the Checkpoint mode and normal transfer? Even if it does, what's the point?
Have I even "labelled" them wrongly? See for yourself first~ the first bus stop of return trip to woodlands int already have people alighting, most of the time are people with light stuff, so is this lazy then?
Originally posted by SMB66X:Actually, is it even necessary to have 160 & 950 in the first place? :o

Eh... you're just trying to duck some matters... if ppl can board the bus, they'll rather board the buses w/ checkpoint mode... and, 950 forever fly stop at Marsiling... That was why the Zaobao complain appeared against 950... play MRT in train announcement yet ppl can't even board at Marsiling.. you sure it's a few cents? Oh ya... it's SMB66X... Who say weekend jam is less than weekday... You miss the 45 mins x-fer time, prepare to pay 73c for the 2.2km leg to JB then.. few cents???
Problem is, do the commuters even know there's Checkpoint mode? I bet if you would to ask those commuters, they most probably would reply you with a direct access to Woodlands CIQ w/o walking in~
Still less than a dollar, don't tell me those travellers can't even afford? Sounds bad here, but wake up? It's not as if the fare is gonna go up till $2 plus or so? If it's so hard to pay that extra few cents, go take Causeway Link buses then?
Originally posted by sbst275:most people would know… it’s only because of the 950 boarding pt that ppl have no choice…
even ppl dunno checkpoint mode but they should alrdy know at CIQ, gotta tap when they exit… laymen n what bus siao understand things are 2 diff issues…
some kids are really… 73c is not money??
oh ya.. none of your are working yet…
You sure?
73c is money..but do you think it's worth it to wait so long just to save that extras? Please lah~ You think I don't know? If you're so cautious to saving bits and pieces, you will never survive. Singapore govt. increase these and that, people may complain, but still they gotta live with it. No choice what~ Who don't wish for cheaper stuff? I do wish~
Already we have people taking AC7, mostly fully seated bus back to JB from Yishun for $2 flat fare, how come there's no complain then? They are some working adults too what? Why don't they take MRT or 856 and transfer?
I believe people nowadays prefer to pay more than to walk more please...
people would prefer one straight bus into JB
why 160 instead of JUR-KRJ + 170X?
and why AC7 instead of YIS-WDL + 950?

Not quite sure and I find it odd myself. But who knows SMRTB may choose to renew later, although that is quite unlikely.
