Personally I kena before:
1. NR6 taking wrong turn.
2. NR6 disappearing.
3. NR6 driver falling asleep at the wheel.

Frankly if anybody values their sanity, they should just stay away from the crowd-infested areas on new year's eve, or be prepared to stay out the whole night.
Even driving/take cab is a huge pain-in-the-ass.

That in itself is all related to one problem: drivers needing their rest.
Maybe that's why they forget which turn NR6 is supposed to do, fall asleep at home forgetting their late-night shift, or fall asleep on the wheel. SMRT should advice the drivers to rest well before the night shift or something.

NR6 has been bad for a long time.
Considering that the fare now is 5 bucks if I am not mistaken, or nearly there, I might as well save myself the trouble and sanity by paying more and sharing cab or just waiting for first bus/train.
Besides there is also 6N that goes more directly to north-east and is more reliable.
Or just avoid town at night.
Maybe I am too old already, but town isnt really much fun anyway besides drinks etc.

Yeah bro Niteowl much better,Ever since the goondoo SMRT extend NR1/NR6 frequencies getting worse.NR7 drivers also play commando skip Geylang use Mountbatten Rd towards Marina Ctr also...Dunno where they get these super sialan drivers...Mostly are technicians,Supervisors and part time lorry drivers from other company..

Happen before to people , sit at bus stop completely thought no bus, but got bus already go past but too engrossed with something else until think bus never appear.
