Route is too long.
i agree with you,busanalayzer
Maybe an SMRT svc from SBW to Changi Village via Yishun, SLE, TPE, and Pasir Ris?

Point is survey needs to be done if there are many commuters from north west heading to changi village side.
This is something that I had learned:
People chose their houses depending on good transport connectivity to their academic institutes / office or frequent travel destination such as parents house. There is no good connectivity between north west and extreme east. So there would be a very very few proportion of people who would use this service.
The objective should be to create a new route for people and not expect the loading on it for at least a year until people actually see there is a good connecting route and change their workplace etc. Otherwise the loading on the route will be scarse.
Anyone has good pictures of bus terminals and interchanges. Want to collect pictures of all terminals / interchanges in Singapore under this forum.

I am working in Cargo Complex.. Based on my observations, it is true that a direct express service from North or better still North-West of Singapore is required.
Even for those staying in the east, esp those taking svc 9 or 19 complain abt the peak hr jams along Loyang Ave/Tampines Ave 7 (15- 25 mins). Loyang Avenue needs to be widen or maybe build a semi expressway above it wherever possible.
Fortunately I am staying in Bedok, there is a Woodlands Tpt Express (peak hr) bus from Tanah Merah MRT to CACC, 15-20 mins trip :)
I am thinking of writing to SMRT rgding an express bus from CCK - Changi Village, plying KJE, BKE, SLE, TPE...can u guys give me ideas on where is a good place for the bus to stop along the expressway, maybe Jln Kayu, etc? Bcos I don't think SMRT will agree if this service runs express all the way.

KJE is non-stop, same for BKE and SLE...
For TPE, can stop at Jln Kayu, or maybe head to SKG/PNG?
It can also stop at maybe Pasir Ris or Tampines, and then go to Changi Village using Loyang Ave, Cranwell Rd, Netheravon Rd and Changi Village Rd.

Another idea would be to ply- CCK>BPJ>BKE>PIE>Toa Payoh>MacPherson>Kaki Bukit>Bedok Reservoir>Tampines Ave 1/2/St 32/34/Ave 7> Loyang Ave>Cranwell Rd>Netheravon Rd>Changi Village Rd
Or... PIE>Toa Payoh>PIE>TPE>Loyang Ave
Maybe... PIE>Toa Payoh>PIE>Eunos Lk>Bedok Reservoir Rd
Or... PIE>Toa Payoh>PIE>Bedok>Bedok Nth Ave 4>Simei>Tampines
Or... PIE>Toa Payoh>PIE>Bedok>Bedok Nth Ave 4>Upp Changi Rd East>Upp Changi Rd Nth>Loyang Way>Loyang Ave>Cranwell Rd>Netheravon Rd> Changi Village Rd
It can also skip Cranwell/Netheravon and just go straight to Changi Village Rd(Loyang Ave>Changi Village Rd)
What do you think?

My idea for this service is that it will run exclusively from North-West to Changi in good time without much stoppages. Going thru Toa Payoh, Tampines, Simei may take a longer time. Also will duplicate parts of svc 5, 9, 19, 59, 506 etc routes. Furthermore as this would be an SMRT service, duplication with SBST services may not sound good.

Okay, so it plies KJE>BKE>SLE>TPE>Jln Kayu>TPE>Pasir Ris>Loyang Ave>Changi Village
Actually, it should ply Pasir Ris as it provides a connection from CCK>PSR, and svc 39/53/81 also does this before heading to Tampines for 39/81 and CGA for 53.
Incidentally, 109 goes to Pasir Ris before heading to Changi Village, so I think it would be useful for the SMRT svc to do this, not duplication by the way. As I said before, it provides a direct link from PSR>CCK.
Since sv81 and some others already ply Ave 1, the SMRT svc should ply Ave 3 or maybe those underutilized Avenues in Pasir Ris.

Do you think it will have enough passengers if it does not go to Tampines or Pasir Ris settlements and directly to Loyang / Changi Village.
It should just be a peak hour service otherwise the route will not be profitable.

Sembawang Vista, Canberra Road, Canberra Link, Yishun Avenue 2, Lentor Avenue, SLE, TPE, Jalan Kayu, TPE, Loyang Avenue, continue sv9/19/89 route….
For Sembawang, probably a more practical solution will be another bus connecting to Jln Kayu and proceeding to Sengkang, Punggol or Hougang (and not duplicating 858, 965). Going further east is a good idea but definitely not to CACC.
Good solution is to take 109, 89 to TPE and then switch to 39, 168, 969 but no stop to switch right now where all these buses stop. That is why may be there is going to be a new stop near Punggol on TPE so that people can transfer buses.

I dun think so, cos nobody would want to go from CCK all the way to Jln Kayu, Loyang Ave, or Changi Village... All those ulu areas...
Maybe this svc is just a... maybe CCK to PSR link. For Morning/Evening Peaks only...
5.30AM>9AM(Dual direction)
5PM>8PM(Dual direction)
Dunno if need bendy or just MAN spam this bus...
