I would like to discuss in this thread about bus intechange and terminals.
1. Which terminals / interchanges need changes?
2. Route changes to terminate / originate from particular terminal / int?
3. Refurbishment of terminals / int?
4. Joon Koon - predict services
5. Suggest new terminals / interchanges - such as Kovan or Expo and which routes to call at these?
Hougang Int needs change... Can get very hot in the afternoon and evening - the sunlight can reach the office.

Yes Hougang needs an integrated interchange with mall / Fairprice and has to be airconditioned.
Just that right now HG is a big interchange. With developments, it is noticed that the interchanges are shrinking in size.
During evening peak you can see buses at HG interchange waiting for another bus to leave to park. BC has to waste another 3-4 mins just to find parking. If Hougang South Terminal / Interchange re-opens, it will take off some load from HG.

Hougang St 21 FC>Hougang South Terminal (renamed)
SV 112 SV 113 SV 116 SV 132 SV 165 SV 325

That piece of land is claimed back by the Gvmt already.
Quite redundant for some of the services above mentioned to move.
112 would need to be renamed as 321 or another feeder, 115 will be renamed as 323?
116 may have to be withdrawn with this move.

Hougang is actually planned to have integrated interchange.

What would be the routes of these services?
svc 112 - I would suggest no change
svc 113 - HG South Terminal - Upper Paya Laber (loop) or loop at Serangoon Central (extension)
svc 116 - new. no change.
svc 165 - why HG South? svc takes HG Ave 4 & 8, not HG Ave 2
svc 132 - may be a good option, but loses link between HG Int and HG Ave 2 (only 325)
svc 325 - Highly recommended - coz it is weird the way the route is right now. Better to start from Kovan than HG.
City area need a terminal,Marina need proper terminal

Agree. The garment closed down hg south interchange based on the basis that hougang new town is too small for 2 bus interchanges. So do you think that they will eat their own words by opening it again?
Ideally Little India, Dhoby Ghaut need terminals if not interchanges.
Govt* needs to eat its own words. HG interchange is congested now. Need one at Kovan for sure. Serangoon Int also is so small - need a bigger one.
Marina Center needs a proper terminal.
Changi Airport needs a DD friendly AC bus interchange.

For Little India, there's Queen St Ter.

There is going to be a marina south AC interchange. U tink Changi Airport can have DD friendly terminal? IT IS UNDER THE AIRPORT! Want to bulid dd friendly interchange how? Remove the pillars and move the buliding up? And why does Sgoon Interchange need a bigger interchange for?

Think there are plans for big interchange in Marina South as one of the new aircon bus int, maybe near Marina Bay MRT... can have the services from Marina Centre, Shenton Way and maybe Lorong 1 Geylang terminating there

But it's only available for JB services and 1 SBST Svc 170. Furthermore, parking lots very few, 5 for SBST and 3 to 4 lots for the others.

Maybe somewhere near Rangoon Rd that area? Looks like an open space to me, but maybe too far away from the MRT...
A terminal at Kranji Stn? Amaciam?
Need one at Poyan river

The interchange can be outside - does not need to be in the basement.
Ofcourse, Serangoon needs a bigger interchange. Have you even seen it? There is no scope to add any more services there. Just with 7-8 services, interchange is fully occupied.

Yup. I think so too. Kranji station should have terminal for JB service and some of the WDL feeder.

Ya.
Down there, Master Plan has already demarcated for housing estate.

One problem- There are lots of airplane runways...

How about just building it next to/under the future Terminal 4?
Can raise the height because it's still not really under construction.
Shenton Way Terminal also needs some improvements IMHO.
