Desmond Kwek was not known to be public speaker during the time I served in his tenure as CDF.
I wonder if Chew Men Leong is laughing at his ex boss now.

I dont think so, SBST drivers merely on standby on Tuesday. No one see SBST BC driving SMRT buses as well, sometimes the press purposely mislead the public.

SBST part may not be what the kids are suggesting... very likely is this... SBST takes over some rts temp i.e. 180 but at not at full scheduled capacity...

But still it doesnt take away the fact that SBST assets were there to "help if need be".
I wonder what kind of muddled system we are getting.
The more under-table deals we get, the more muddied the idea of "competition" gets.
If more intervention here and there by govt, might as well make lives easier and just subsume all services under a single entity?

you've proper ways to get your things addressed.. and mind you, even if all proper channels have exhausted, you still have legal means to do so... but it's unconventional methods... let me say this... from the way I look at it, you're alrdy trying to test people by insisting on the word guai w/o understanding the entire thing behind it.. anyway... the law is there to make ppl to be guai.. but you can be automatic yourself, as you're accountable not just to yourself, but to the entire society.. use universal presciption as well.. -

Seems that the best recourse now for MOM would be to find a couple of PRC scapegoats, explain nicely to PRC why they will be deported after jail (keep angry commuters appeased).
And then make it clear that this is SMRT's fault.
It has to be.
Otherwise its implying that the govt has a wading role to play in the market where it doesnt really belong.
The BSEP backlash is already an example of the dangers of back-pedalling.
