This really shows that singaporeans actually very guai one. Complain a lot but still work, Scold the governemnt a lot but still vote for them. They should realise this and treat the people better.

Bus division usually not very profitable for some reason. PTOs are using advertising etc to cross-subsidise.

SGreans pay disparity is nearly $0.5K / mth compared to the PRCs, excluding CPF employer contribution.
You mean that amount not significant to you?

Generally Singaporeans are law abiding. They or rather we don't give much headaches to the govt.

You cant just simply attribute the "guai-ness" of SGreans to just being afraid.
For most of us (less the poor aunties and uncles who really deserve better), we have the ability to adapt to what the govt has done. If govt tells you GST increase to 20%, it will just be howls and yakking on forum, but people just spend more consciously and complain more. Or push their kids to study harder for PSLE.
But for the foreign drivers, who do they turn to when they need to "adapt"? There's no social infrastructure, nor support. I do not think its entirely untruthful that SMRT has been less than responsive to their complaints.
A "logical" next step would be to drum up their passion and let loose fury all in one go.

Foreigners VS Singaporeans
If both suffered an "attack", and strike a riot(like SMRT). The FT at least still got abit of chance. Singaporeans leh? No chance at all. Why? Cause they(govt.) would be saying that a Singaporean should know the law etc.(even if you dk, they "insist" you know). At the end of the day, it's 1 : 0~
So which Singaporean would rather not be "guai" then? Don't forget, FT are mostly "one for all, all for one" type. Govt. let the result be 0:1(base on this case), confirm won't benefit~

Countless times we had foreign govt begging, protests outside our embassy.....still we execute!

Phillippines, Indonesia, Thailand, USA, EU countries have been known to make noise about us executing their citizens.
Ironically PRC never made noise here.

SMRT got big problem as usual, headcounts of absentee also cannot count properly.
Purposely to understate the number or what? MOM dont interfere, they just said 102 on "sit-in" or dont bother to correct that. My instinct.
The bloody ex general also no man show, still learning how the trains operates or what?
